Yet if before you brought it back to life you were to open iTunes you would see the iPhone listed and could initiate a sync or backup. Only if within wifi range, naturally. How do you suppose iTunes does that, pixie dust?
Maybe you can try restore your device so it works how it should ? If you try it and yet problem persist again bad luck for you buddy.
By magic called USB - never use wireless sync - only noticed it when I wake my phone in the morning and only the 3G signal is present.
----------
Nothing to do with luck - not feeling unlucky - just see the same behaviour on my old 4S and gf's 4 ... but to be honest - I couldn't give a rats monkey back side
Only stating facts and I doubt my phone is "broken" based on that little fact.
Why did this thread turn into an iPhone conversation anyway...
So you side-stepped my response because you don't use wifi sync? Nice try. Anything that needs net access will use wifi if the iphone is connected to wifi when it is locked. It matters not whether the iphone is plugged in or not. Again, as I said from my very first post on this asinine subject: wifi is not truly off.By magic called USB - never use wireless sync - only noticed it when I wake my phone in the morning and only the 3G signal is present.

If you want to believe the iPhone is using 3G/4G for data when asleep and on wifi go right ahead. You certainly won't be alone.
But I will state that when there is a bug or flaw that causes mobile data to be used instead of wifi when the iphone is locked, people react and are not happy puppies due to the sudden increase in cellular data usage. This happened with Verizon on the iPhone 5 and Apple released a fix for it:

I think I got it now! lolI think you missed my point of not giving a flying f.....
I think I got it now! lol
Back to the Nexus 4.
My battery life has been steadily improving. I think it is from getting a couple of battery cycles in and adjusting my settings/usage to get better battery life. I love the power control widget. For anyone coming from iOS... try it! It's like SBSettings if you were ever jailbroken.

Thanks! I will check out that Power Toggles widget. I am loving toggle widgets!Try Power Toggles widget if you want even more flexibility with setting toggles:
This is how mine looks one home screen left of the main one. I also have these same toggles in my Notification pull down for when I want to access these settings without going back to the home screen (like if I'm in an app or something):

I think you might like this app even better. It allows you to move the the toggles in the notification bar. And if you have root you can even long press them to go to the appropriate settings:

Thanks. Bootloader unlocked, and am rooted, sir!

BTW, full list of Google Now commands:

Quite comprehensive.

In other news, today is the big day: the day I swapped out my t-mob backup sim that I had been using in my N4 for my "real" AT&T sim that was in my iPhone 4S. Had to say goodbye to iMessage but it had to be done. And carrying two smartphones was, ahem, a bit geeky.
Who am I kidding, I will STILL carry my 4S with me since I have that lovely hotspot feature in the N4 to give it net access--iMessage can live on. (For now!)

Thanks. I think I'm gonna just stay rooted for now so that I can get normal OS updates (knowing I will have to re-root but it seems painless enough). I'm not even sure what rooting gets me just yet but I know I want it lol. So far I have been able to do most everything I used to jailbreak for without needing to root. But I know I need it!In fact, custom ROMs offer this feature by default, but the app is a good alternative for anyone who doesn't want to flash ROMs.
Thanks. I already have been doing a transition to whatsapp with my girlfriend. Bonus that it has builtin emoji! I think she was mostly worried about me losing that, believe it or not. But it has the equivalent of "read receipt" that she loves (thanks to me showing it to her for iMessage lol).Consider Whatsapp, Kik, Kaokao... many many messaging apps. The only thing they're missing is you can continue the conversation on the computer with iMessage, but in my experience, it isn't always perfect anyway, with lots of odd messages popping up even after I've long received them.
Enjoy your Nexus 4.

One use would be the app Titanium Backup. It allows you to backup all your apps.
Indeed, the order fulfilment process leaves much to be desired. I ended up getting a Note ii instead. Even though the Nexus 4 hasn't shipped and I'm on back order, Google can't cancel the order. I have to basically refuse the delivery and it will get sent back to Google. Brilliant use of company resources.
They over nighted it and I got it today
