I've been having bad battery luck lately....seems my iPhone 5s has been sporadic when it comes to battery life too.....some days its amazing, others its moderately good.

But as I said, even moderate battery life is enough for me. My N5 has just been plain awful.

I'll do a restore when I head to lunch and see if that helps solve the problem. I tell you what, if Apple creates a "Note" type larger phone with some form of cool new features to take advantage of the display/stylus built in, I'd just ditch Android and buy one of those.

Only reason I don't have a 5C and 5s is because they are too similar.....and the reason I don't have a Note 3 is Touchwiz....all-in-all, I really want to love the Nexus 5.....but if Apple offers a different enough larger iPhone, my Nexus 5 is going in the drawer only to come out when I want a "change of pace".

I think I'm experiencing smartphone upgrade fatigue! lol

I did a restore on mine, and seems to have helped. Also force stopping Google play services, or Google search will do the trick. It seems those two things have some issues with wakelocks, and force stopping them fixes the battery drain.

Got the phone way faster than I expected and love it so far. Trying to decide which case to buy.

Diztronic:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FZ14E3S/

Ballistic:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GGL5TIU

cruzerlite:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G3DU5I0/

The diztronic has great reviews (and all good comments in this thread) but the ballistic just seems like it would protect more in a drop. Does the diztronic seem like it protects well enough? I have a bad track record with dropping phones so protection is a higher priority for me than bulkiness or cost. Any other comments on these cases? I have heard some good things about the spigen but the reviews for all their nexus 5 cases seem pretty mixed.

Ya - they've had issues with wakelocks for quite a while.....

A restore and move to ART seems to have helped TREMENDOUSLY. Now, on standby, I'm losing about 2% per hour. My N5 was actually ahead of my 5S when I got home yesterday, though I do use my 5S at work more.

Yeah I moved to ART last night as well. Loving it so far, and battery life is great.

Anyone have any experience with the official bumper case from Google? Forget the price, what's it like?

I think $35, and I seriously doubt it's worth it.

I'm really enjoying my diztronic tpu, I like it more than nude believe it or not feel wise.

I know what the price is and I know many think its not worth the price.

I just wanted to know about the case itself - I can make my own decision on whether its worth $35 or not. If the case is nice, I usually prefer OEM cases to third party...I'm just weird like that :p.

I received mine last night. The material is similar to the Nexus 5's back so it still has a nice grip. Only problem I'm having is trying to get used to the added bulk/weight - it's not a lot, and even feels better than the Spigen Neo Hybrid I had, but it certainly doesn't feel as nice in the hand as the phone does naked. On the plus side, the case is very easy to take off while providing a tight fit and nice protection. Camera lens is flush with the case and there is a lip on the front that is raised slightly above the screen (haven't had any issues using gestures). The back of the case is more of a hard shell than what you'd typically get with a TPU case, though it still feels pretty good in the hand.

Now I just need to decide if I'm going to leave the case on all the time or just use it when I go out and at the gym. I made the mistake of using the phone naked for the majority of the time I've had it so it's hard to get used to a case.

Oh and both of my Qi chargers work with this case.

If you do get the case let me know what you think. I was looking at it, but wanted to see what others thought. I like you like the OEM cases. I got the smart case for my iPad a mini because I knew Apple made the case fit perfectly for the mini. I want something the maker of the phone makes.

Ya - Spigen is the only case maker I've decided I'll buy from. But the Slim Armor for the Nexus 5 didn't fit right so if I get a case, it'll be the Google one.

I'm using a smart cover for my iPad rMini and the leather case for my 5S. Love the fit and minimal bulk.

I'll probably end up picking one up and will report back what I think.

Cool thanks. Yeah I could not be happier with the Smart Case. I wanted one for my iPad 2, but it never fit right.

Ya, I've considered the smart case for my mini.....I just like the mini's feel too much. Generally when I'm using it I take the smart cover off anyway.

As much as I love my Note 3, I sold it and going with the Nexus for now. Both have their positives but I prefer the on screen keys, full RGB IPS display, easier to manage size, bloatware free out of the box, latest software, wireless charging, unlocked, and the price.

I picked up an iPad Air during black friday so that'll complement my Nexus for my larger screen needs.

I'll miss the screen size, battery, expandable storage, and some of the touchwiz features but overall, I like the simplicity of the Nexus over the Note.

Has the 4.4.1 rolled out to anyone yet? I'm curious to see how the camera updates have improved the camera.

I got a pleasant surprise today, as my Nexus 5 was delivered. I haven't even received a shipping notification yet!! My card hasn't been charged yet either, which is weird.

I have to say, from my short time playing with the phone I really like it. All the buttons are solid and no display issues. Now, I just have to start customizing! I'm stoked!

The only issue I had, was getting my exchange email to work with the stock email client. Turns out my university changed outlook servers and haven't updated their IT website.

Some have commented at AC that the update makes the speaker volume better. I hope so.

I also wanted to say that with the N5, the bluetooth works better with my car than my GS3 did. Has my contacts saved in the car system where i always had to be asked permission from my GS3 everytime it connected and even then, most of the time it wouold say "name not recognized" so they wouldnt stay in memory.

Always connects as well but so did my GS3. The N5 just functions better overall.
