I wish the top and bottom bezel were the same size. For some reason it annoys me as much as the different color earpiece w/ black front. It could make sense if the notification bar or nav bar were still black, but... Same with HTC's phones, the top and bottom bezels are never the same size.

I'm glad they aren't the same size. On the Nexus 4 they were the same size, but it made landscape typing feel asymmetrical because one thumb had to extend further than the other thanks to the navigation bar. On the Nexus 5 if you rotate clockwise, landscape typing feels much more symmetrical.

Can AT&T post-paid customers simply pop in their SIM for the N5 and be off and running?

You might need to give them the IMEI number of your nexus 5 device. When I got my Nexus 5, I popped in a post-paid sim and was only getting HSPA+. Thought it was strange and I called AT&T and they told me that the IMEI number that my SIM was attached to was a laptop.

After they put in the proper IMEI number, my phone picked up LTE immediately.

I just picked up a Nexus 5 (AT&T) from craigslist for $250! Great deal! It came with the box and all the charger. I am really impressed with this phone. It is light and feels premium in design and weight balance. The performance blows me away. It is so fast and snappy. So far the battery life is great……
I haven't had a chance to compare the camera to my IP5s yet. Buy i am impressed with my Nexus 5!

Well assuming you have an AT&T SIM of course you can just place said SIM into an AT&T phone. I was asking about the Nexus because it's an unlocked device not tied to a carrier.

My Nexus 5 is from Google Play. As you know GS4 has Google Play Edition and I never heard anyone refers Nexus 5 as "Google Play Edition", so I assumed you asked about GS4!

I think you are misunderstanding. Any phone that is an AT&T edition will work by default with an AT&T SIM. So the fact that you AT&T S4 worked is a given.

Of course, my GS4 would work on AT&T since I bought it there. What I said is I put my AT&T sim card (from GS4) into Nexus 5 I bought from Google and it works without problem (voice, text and LTE)!
Edit: I just read my post and I understand your confusion. It should have been
"I did with my AT&T GS4's SIM card without problem."
Sorry for not being clear.

I commend you, I did not ever consider that! I used my Nexus 5 in portrait exclusively unless I was watching video or taking a picture, but I always rotated counter clockwise!

It's weird, right after you posted that, I asked my friends who own a Nexus 5 (ridiculous small sample size) and none of them rotate clockwise!

Ya I think it is unnatural to rotate clockwise, counter-clockwise just makes more sense. Overall I just think the bezels on the Nexus 5 were not thought out. Take the Moto X for example. It has one small bezel and one larger one, like the Nexus 5. But on the Nexus 5, the big bezel is on bottom. This essentially pushes all your content higher up and further away from your thumb making you stretch and strain more to hit top corners. The Moto X has its small bezel on the bottom, bringing all content closer to your thumb.

When you use the Nexus 5 upside down (gravity box let's me do this), the screen feels much better because when I tap on things at the top of the screen, it is closer to my thumb and I don't have to stretch as much. So there is a huge difference in feel of the phone without changing the screen size at all. It is all because of the bezels. And I think LG/Google was stupid to put the big bezel on the bottom. It is pointless and just pushes your content further away. Motorola did a better job with it. And of course like mentioned earlier, it makes landscape typing better.

I just swapped my Moto X for the Nexus 5 and I agree with the screen position, it being lower on the X made reaching things much easier.

Though overall I am happier with the larger screen, the higher DPI, and snappier performance, I do wish I was able to have the touch less controls, moto assist, and battery life of the X.

Awesome. I was just in a plan to go for a new smart phone and luckily I came across this. Just a small question. The $349 is inclusive or exclusive of tax. And can I have the exact price in Dallas, Texas.

Does not include taxes. In Texas you pay $349 plus tax for the phone. Sorry.

Edit: somewhere around $376.25 (still need to add shipping)

I live a little north of Dallas. It was $388.61 after standard shipping and tax.

Ya, the bezels make all the difference. I actually miss the OLED display and the battery life advantages that brought with active display, which I loved. I know some people hate OLED and some love it, I was one of the ones who loved it.

Overall I stuck with the Nexus 5 because of developer support and camera. I think the Moto X had better stock software features, better display IMO, and better ergonomic feel. If the Moto X successor has a better camera and slightly better battery life, I will definitely get it.

I just sold mine, only loss incurred was the Google tax and shipping. I didn't realize the supply constraint, I was pleasantly surprised the winning bid was as high as the list price on the Play Store.
