What's wrong with the looks of N4? I think it is the only other phone that looks as good as iPhone 5.

So I'm thinking about finally trying Android, as I have been only been on iOS since smartphones came out. Nexus is definitly the one I find most interesting, but I was wondering about storage capacity. On my iPhone I recently realised I used less then 16gb, some offline playlists in Spotify, Dropbox and several apps (around 75). Is the size of things roughly compareable between the platforms, or should I go for the 32gb option?
Sounds like 16GB is fine for you, but you also have to consider that Nexus devices sold by Google usually don't require another $100 dollars to go up to the next storage size model.
For example, to go from 16GB to 32GB with the Nexus 7, it costs an extra $50 dollars. Similarly true for the Nexus 4 to go from 8GB to 16GB. This will likely be the case again for the NExus 5.
The latest, rumor, however, does say that the 16GB variant will be $299 that comes with a 2300 mAh battery while the 32GB variant will be $399 but will come wiht a 3000 mAh battery. If that ends up being true, there's that to consider, too.
The bottom line is, the value is there for you to future proof your phone if you feel you need the extra storage. It's not the same cost-benefit versus doubling storage with iPhones.
Gosh I hope that happens. I would even pay $500 for a 32GB 3000 mAh version. But I'm not getting my hopes up.
I'm wondering if it's necessary to release a new wireless charger. It seems last years could work just fine. Thoughts on that?
I don't see why it wouldn't work. It's the same technology. In fact, the new Nexus will actually probably stick to the wireless charger instead of sliding off.
Oh yeah I know it will work. Sorry I worded that wrong. I was asking if there is a need for google to make a new wireless charger or just keep selling last years.
I can see Google making the move to announcing new products and updates online through partnerships with websites like The Verge. The way they did it last year, even though it wasn't the original plan, worked out great.
Im hoping its the 15th. Im ready to upgrade and its gonna be either the N5 of G2. Im skipping Samsung this time around and didnt get a S4. Perhaps ill go GS5 when it comes out though.

Why? Would you be attending the live event if they have one? I fail to see how it would be lackluster if the only way you're going to learn about it is online anyway.
Well. I would think a 15 minute video provides a lot less details and explanations of new features. Kit kat, nexus 5, and nexus 10 are more than enough to warrant an event. For google they get a lot more media coverage if they invite, you know, the media, to a event rather than giving the exclusive to one website. For us we get a lot more detail.
However, if they decided not to have an event at all and just send me an email announcing its availability I would still be buying.
Yeah, but if Google planned to announce it in this manner from the beginning then they could make a video or website that shows off everything new without having an event. From my point of view since all I see is the announcement or livestream on my computer, Google could release a prerecorded video and it would be the same experience for me.

Yes, definitely do yourself a favor and try android on a nexus phone rather than a skinned device. I would go for 32gb just in case you add more stuff.

Looks like this prototype got rid of the curved glass around the edges that the Nexus 4 has. That's a bummer. I love the feel of gestures with the curved glass.
It also says Key Lime Pie in the about phone section of the youtube video. I hope that isnt it. IMO the G2 is a nicer looking phone compared to that one.
