The phone looks too thick.
Hopefully to fit a large battery
But I doubt it...
The phone looks too thick.
The phone looks too thick.
I think that is just because of the squared edges.
I dont care how good a camera phone is, I never use one for pics. I will use a real camera.
Oh I'll sell it for more......hehe
I'll be selling it as a bundle - with S-View Case, Spigen Slim Armor case and a 64 GB MicroSD card.
I figure I'll go for $600 for the lot and see what happens
is it better to get the nexus on contract?
Exactly. I rarely take my DSLR out with me these days, but I ALWAYS have my phone with me. That's why I want my phone's camera to have the best possible picture quality. You know what they say. The best camera is the one you have with you. I love my DSLR, but I'll be damned if I'm carrying it everywhere I go.
I'm not sure if this is important to others but the leaked video show very "clicky" looking buttons. This was an issue I had with the N7 so I hope it is indeed better here.
I must say I didn't like the look of the buttons. They seemed hard to click, maybe too small. They should pop out more so it can be easier to click.
On my Nexus 7 I had trouble at first with the buttons, until I found out the correct angle to press them. Now it's perfect.

I thought they popped out a good deal more than the N7. Do you not find the N7's buttons very flush to the body?
So what's the max people are willing to pay for this phone given the rumored specs?
In my mind the screen size makes it more one-hand friendly than the Note 3, it has the same CPU as the Note 3, and will run stock Android. I'd probably still buy it even if it was $600 like all other contract phones.

If this phone is $600 it will make me consider all the other flagship phones and I don't think google wants that. One of the huge advantages of Nexus is price. I would definitely consider the note 3, G2, HTC one max etc if I'm paying $600 anyway for a Nexus. Also, it's clear that google has a goal to make their nexus products affordable. I know you weren't saying they are going to price it at $600 but that's way too high compared to all their other products and phones of the past.
I'm guessing a small price increase just like the Nexus 7. Last year's price was $299 and $349. I'm expecting to see $349 and $399 as max prices. Which bumps the nexus 10 up in price too. So to finally answer your question....I'm willing to pay $399 although I'm hoping to pay $349 for a 16GB.
Edit: I would still probably end up picking Nexus over those for updates and not having to deal with carriers for anything But my my point stands.

I dont think it is going to be anywhere near $600. I bet the 32GB version is $399 at the most. Look at the new N7, they only raised its price $30 for each version and it had upgrades...like a camera in the back that it didnt have before and a much better screen, etc.
I'd pay $450-500 for this phone. I'm not sure if I'll be buying one, it'll depend on how it fares in reviews. I'm pretty happy with my HTC One, aside from the camera.
Let's hope the nexus 5 camera is an improved one, I've been hearing really good reviews about the G2 its battery life and camera so expecting the same thing from the Nexus 5
