Reviews look positive so maybe by the time it's readily available I'll have a better idea if it's worth swapping for the 6s+

Also does anyone know if Google let you transfer the warranty if say, I manage to find a second hand 6p

I am not 100% sure but I think the warranty follows the device. I know I have bought other phones second hand and the warranty followed the phone.

That's the usual rule with Apple Care but I think Samsung and Google work differently. Anyone have a definite answer

Samsung it can be dependent on region so American model devices will receive support in USA, European models in Europe and Asian in Asia markets, however they often refuse warranty service of you have an Asian device in Europe or European device in America.

Google warranty seems to dump it back to manufacturer rather than google themselves honouring it.

It's all out of stock again. Really glad I snagged the 32 GB aluminum model last week. Shipping is Nov 20. Not bad. Just in line with all the black friday gadgets I will get.

I love the Frosted white. That's definitely the one. Definitely 64GB, but I am considering the 128GB because if this device is as good as it sounds, I may keep it longer...

The value of the 128GB version is a bit steep though...

Anybody wondering whether or not the Nexus 6P will hold up design wise? Will it age well?

How will we look at the 6P in a year's time? Will that bump age well? I have a suspicion it won't...

The Nexus 6 aged terribly. Everybody is knocking it for its monstrosity a year later after its release. I fear the same might happen to the 6P and that camera hump...

Thoughts?

Yeah the 6P looks like a real winner. I would love to pick one up.....but really wanted to get some hands on with it first. The video reviews seem to be positive. I hope that T-Mobile and Best Buy would pick up the new Nexus phones. They both carried them last year after the initial release was over.

Here's hoping T-Mobile gets the 6P for their ' Jump on Demand ' program. I know Google said no Carriers involved on the new Nexus phones, but I bet some of the carriers will start getting them after the newness wares off.

Especially T-Mobile, who has been the #1 biggest Nexus phone supporter since day one. They have carried every single Nexus phone to date. I remember waiting in line at a T-Mobile store years ago for the Nexus-One launch, and again waited opening morning for the Nexus-S launch at a T-Mobile store. And they also carried the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 6. No other U.S Carrier had all of those Nexus. I think only Sprint had the Nexus-S along with T-Mobile, and then Verizon had the Galaxy Nexus, but T-Mobile had them all.

I'm going out on a limb, that T-Mobile has the Nexus 6P maybe by Christmas time, but for sure early next year, no later than April.

I like the design and think it will still be perfectly fine in a year, especially when you add in skins/cases.

It's not as timelessly beautiful as the S6 Edge - which is genuinely stunning - but I think the 6P visor looks different and futuristic.

Although I'd kill for a version that has the Knight Rider red LED in the visor :D

Maybe. I already don't like the head[hone jack on top of the phone. It is a better fit on the bottom IMHO

Hah so true. We always want the newest phones too soon.

That said, I think with the nexus 6, many people didn't like the design to begin with. It's a little too fat. People settled for it since it's the newest phone offering a pure android experience with great specs.

I think the Nexus 6P will age well in terms of design more so than the 5X. It's at least completely metal, something more and more phones are beginning to embrace. The 5X looks like a 2013 phone -- imo a downgrade to the original Nexus 5's design.

I'd say it already looks quite dated. While camera humps have made a return, the implementation on the 6P looks a lot worse than many other phones. The Nexus 5X won't win any design awards either with its flash holes etc. Drab color choices too.

I really don't know what Google is going for. Apart from the Nexus 5 (which afaik is only let down by its camera) every model since has been a design that doesn't really inspire. Who designs these phones? Google or their subcontractor of choice? If the latter then do they consciously leave the nicer designs for their own lines?

Really wish they'd made a 5-5.2 inch version of the 6P compete with alu body and 3gb RAM.

6P is a bit of a monster whilst the 5X is crippled and plastic.

crippled may be a bit of a strong word, but the situation you mention is what drove me to the 6S

Maybe, but topping out at 32gb and 2gb RAM killed it for me. Wouldn't go with 2tb on an Android daily driver even if it is a Nexus. Too many reviews have noted during which is weird and concerning. 808 just feels like a stop gap as well.

Maybe next year.

I like drab colors, give me an all black phone ANY day of the week. I'm not a big make my phone look like a peacock fan. Silver bezels, 2 tone colors, fake chrome accents, huge letters across the front of the device, etc, bleh not for me. I agree on the camera hump thought, it's hideous.
