Yeah they do tend to be one of the poorer couriers tbh
Hey well as long as you get your 6P that is all that matters.

I wish I could still switch between android and iOS, but I just don't have the time or patience for it anymore. Plus I have work email setup on my iPhone, and it's a pain in the but on android. I did think about getting a second line with Google fi, but I have not done it yet.

Holy crap. Mine is shipping too! I just ordered last week. Was supposed to be nov 18-20. They must have found a few missing batches in the back room somewhere.

Just throw another sim in until tomorrow.
If it was more than 24hrs I would, however I'm keeping my VZW number active on my MotoX'14 while I test P-Fi with a new number. If Fi is solid I'll port over the VZW number but until then I want to keep the VZW/MX14 fully functional. Messaging is an issue because I'm using proprietary Verizon Messages, which I don't want bother setting up on the 6P.

Oh ok. Well yeah to sucks you can use the phone and you already have it. Let us know how you like Fi. I thought about trying it in my old nexus 6

Will do. Quality is really dependent on location. I'm hopeful it'll be OK here in metro Los Angeles. As a low data user the prospect of lowering monthly cell/data costs to +/-$30 is appealing. Figure I'll be saving about $20/mth, which will pay the cost of the 6P over two years.

Look what just came in the mail. Unbelievably fast service and shipping from Google. Will play with the phone for a while and let everyone know my initial impressions.

Hating this thread for making me want a 6P over a perfectly find 6s+ I have now lol

What would sway it in favour of the nexus would be these factors:

Is the battery life at least as good as the 6s+
Is there any lag?
Does the phone get hot for long periods of use?
Camera and screen quality

Lots of reviews out there going over all this. Here is a pretty recent one from today:
http://thenextweb.com/gadgets/2015/10/28/nexus-6p-review-google-tempts-away-this-iphone-owner/

For iPhone users looking for something different, the Nexus 6P is a fantastic option. It’s a formidable competitor which doesn’t leave you wanting on the hardware front — it has all the features you’d want, and they all work as well as the iPhone.

I don’t need to upgrade my phone yet, since the iPhone 6 Plus is still a great device, but if I was looking to replace it with an Android device, this would be my bet.

The hard part is getting out of Apple’s ecosystem.

I seriously doubt the battery life can match the 6s+

iPhone 6s+ = 2750 mAh battery
Nexus 6p = 3450 mAh battery.

Depending on the software for the 6p, you could theoretically get a significantly awesome battery life compared to the 6s+.

3 hours sound really low!!!? The big massive plus about my iphoen 6s Plus is I dont have to carry a charger with me as i still have 30-40% charge left at the end of the day. and I do use the phone a LOT when whiling away the hours during the day.

I'd be worried if the 6P has bad battery life and I have to carry a charger everywhere.
Those numbers have to be on screen time. No way they are that low. No phone has it that low.

I had (actually still have) the iPhone 6s+ and have always bragged about the battery. Since upgrading to iOS 9, my battery has gotten worse and the phone has actually had a substantial amount of lag. I don't know why I'm telling you that, other than to tell you I was in the same position as you and so far, I'm impressed by the Nexus 6p.

1. I will let you know about the battery life but initial impressions are good. I've used it extensively for the past 2.5 hours and have lost about 35% of initial battery life (it was 55% when I turned it on out of the box and now it's 20%). I'm going to let it get down close to 0% and let it get a full charge.
2. No lag what so ever.
3. During the first 30 minutes of using the phone (Initial set up, importing contacts, importing photos, and various other things), it did get slightly warm. I haven't noticed any heat issues since then.
4. I love the display. I personally prefer it to the iPhone 6+ display. That's personal opinion so I will let you be the judge of that. Haven't used the camera yet.
5. You didn't mention this but front facing speakers are amazing. I don't know that I will be able to go back to anything without front facing speakers. I only listed to a short (30 second) Halo promo on YouTube but I was amazed at how much better they sound than iPhone 6+.

With all of this said, I've only had the phone for a few hours...so my opinions are based on my very short time with the phone. I will continue to let you know what I think as I use it.

My main reason for pause is the USB C. It's great that it's future-proof and I know things will get easier next year as other OEMs adopt it and cables become more readily available and affordable, but I'm personally not ready to give up all my wired and wireless chargers quite yet...

Once the price is right, though, I may not be able to resist the 6P...

I'd love to get some hands on experience first, too. Hope that'll be made possible somehow by Best Buy or something...

keep in mind, when the iPhone 5 came out, same thing happened. Apple got rid of their old cables, and used a reversible cable instead. I'm sure there are converters and adapters that will be released for cheap that you can purchase.

On yeah the front facing speakers. I long for a phone with those as I like to have the radio or some TV show on I'm the background and good speakers would be a big bonus

Would love to hear your opinions a week or so down the line.

Don't want to let the 6s plus go yet

So I got sucked into all the Nexus hype in this thread and picked up a 5x. It arrived this afternoon and I've been setting it up this evening. Really like the size of this thing! Screen is sharp and the camera is as good as advertised. I'll post more thoughts as I get more time with it.
