Launch of the S6/S6 Edge a lot of us jumped on the bandwagon then.

My P will be out for delivery today :)

Agreed BUT we were all very conscious of TouchWiz.

I've had my S6 Edge now for just 2 weeks and honestly, TW (and the appalling battery) is starting to frustrate me.

Clearly this 6P is aimed more at people like "us" (whatever that means) so I'm thinking to just go for it.

Can't wait to hear your take on the device.

I have no plans to get it, as Android isn't compatible with a work specific app for the time being, but my brother and father are considering it.

Enjoy!

Discovered this earlier and cursed however I noticed it says 2-3 weeks shipping here for each 64gb option.

Google return process is very good. I had to return an android wear device that I changed my mind on after it shipped. In my case I just refused to take delivery and it was returned to Google and 3 days later I got a refund.

Do they take money out of your credit card immediately? I am thinking 2-3 weeks wait time is reasonable. Gives me enough time to possibly play with a display model in a local store if they have them, and wait for more user reviews :)

Will they let you return an item even if opened and used?

They charge you when it ships. Yes they let you return it even if it's open and used :)

I was going to order a 64GB black one but managed to gain control of myself!

It will take 2-3 weeks and it's £500. Tbh I don't actually mind waiting until December and trying to get it cheaper.

My Samsung is just fine, I'd rather pay as close to £400 as possible for a 6P.

when you say 'cheaper' what do you mean? I dont believe Google reduce their prices until just before the next model is imminent, for example, around summer time?

Or do you mean you will buy a pre-owned one?

Yep, i've controlled myself too (for the moment). Will wait a few more days for more user opinions but not too long otherwise I'll lose too much selling my 6s Plus :(

Just setting up and installing apps. First thing I did was go into settings and enable developer options and then enable SRGB display mode as I prefer accurate colours.

The fingerprint scanner is very accurate from my brief time so far.

Case is nice. I don't have a screen protector yet but the case adds a lip on the front to stop it scratching if laid front down. Love the texture and soft feel of the carpet like back of the tpu case. Feels very cool.

The device is slightly taller than my other devices but not massively so. Tbh it feels much the same as all my other phablets.

It's prompting for a Marshmallow OS update - just going to wait till it finishes installing my app store apps before I launch that.

Will have a solid play and take photos in the morning and keep you all updated. :)

Oh and as I'm installing apps and using the device not one single stutter !!! Impressive :)

very good. keep us updated on battery life, any stutter (yes you said none so far but maybe it builds up over time??) , quality of default marshamallow keyboard, camera quality, and of course if the phone gets hot whilst using it a lot especially on voice.

edit: oh, and speaker volume and quality, and earphone/headphone volume and quality. For some annoying reason my Note 4 earphone/headphone volume was rubbish, and of course I hated the speaker of that especially being on the back of the device. poor design! The 6sPlus made up for that with better earphone volume but still no stereo speakers :(
