I ordered on 19th and haven't heard a peeep since. No credit card charge, nothing !!!
I can't believe they make me wait until the very end of february. I even have my doubts now that it will get send in february at all !!!!

LOL, I just checked 2 hours ago and there was nothing. Checked just after my post again and it is set to "preparing for shipment".

Congrats... I admire your (and others) patience. It's simply amazing to me that they are still filling orders made on the 19th of Dec.

So true.
What amazes me even more is the fact Apple started fulfilling the majority of their online store orders in the last two weeks. Going by our famous spreadsheet here they must have been busy building machines for resellers and non online store customers in the beginning of February. So those orders who give them the biggest profit are serviced last.
Anyway, two more days in Austin to get those Macs out into the world.
Interesting phone call from Apple. They told me there is a delay in shipping my Mac Pro. I ordered on the 20th December and was in the Feburary dispatch time. Apple Said that there is a delay on it for between 5-7 working days. Apple is not keeping the promised dispatch time of some time in Feburary. This is not on. 4 core d500s 12GB 256GB SSD. Also they told me that my order is coming from shanghai.

I asked for some kind of compensation for my wait and the guy said after I have received it I can ask for a good-will gesture.

My call was not from an indian. It was actually an Irish fella which I am surprised with. I did not even get to ask any questions he said bye and thats was it. I will be ringing Apple this evening to get a reason for this.
If they promise A certain shipping time they should keep it.

Let us know how you get on. The guy I spoke to say the delay was due to demand but I would really like to know more than that as I ordered before other people who have received theirs already.
I am in the same boat, I at the begginging, and I know people ordering after me in Januray and recevied there's already. If I get any where with it I will let you know.

I thought the same as you, hearing Apple at the end of the phone I was thinking Delivery to. Upgrading there delivery serivce what does this mean haha. Does this mean the transit time is shorter. I have to stay Apple is gas out. Keeps me in the dark until now. Strangly they authorized my bank to hold funds around 7 o clock monday night.

Mine was also an Irish guy. In fact, I am pretty sure it was the same guy that I spoke to in December when I ordered from via the telephone from the business store.
Is there anything in common with all of our orders? Maybe that is the reason why we have lost out?

I ring them and they could not tell me much. He said if I rang at 9 this morning they would tell me that the the mac pro would still ship either today or tomorrow. He said that news only broke about this a couple of hours ago and they cant do nothing about. When he asked me about the order date, I answered I ordered on the 20th Dec, he was shocked that it took this long him self. I ask about shipping the Mac Pro when it comes avaliable between 5-7 days about transit times he said we cant bump the shipping up but we put it through the fastest route. So basiclly I not no joy out of them.
Why would they? If Apple is calling to tell them that the shipping date is being pushed back then the charge date is being pushed back as well. Those two are tightly coupled.
They may mistakely call someone with a date that isn't sliding but if sliding dates out, then there is nothing to charge for right now.
So I received my 6 core, D700 yesterday. I am in the UK and the machine is a work of art. Completely love the form factor...
Unfortunately it is restarting itself randomly and no matter what I do I can't get it to stop. Very annoying. Need to call Apple Care I guess!
