UPDATE

I just finished reading all 18 pages of this thread, including replies from NOAH who represents the company.

It's infuriating to see how this entire operation was launched and executed.

I fired off an email to Chlöe Ferrari. I told her my order has been "supposedly" sitting in a Texas warehouse for days and I want to know exactly when it will arrive on my doorstep.

If I don't hear back from her by the end of tomorrow, I will make a lot of noise about this. I will contact the Santa Barbara BBB. I will go on every forum I can, including Amazon and Best Buy and warn people not to purchase this product due to shady business practices. Will also cancel the order through my credit card company for which I am offered purchase protection.

I am sincerely hoping I am wrong that there is something shady going on here. I hope that the shipment status I have received is correct and that my stand is sitting in a warehouse in Texas and that it moves to my doorstep this week.

And, if Nomad is offering refunds for all the issues they have caused their customers, I'd like a refund too.

Folks, your watch stand from Nomad may never get here. They took your money well over 2 months ago and produced a ton of stands for Best Buy. Best Buy has been selling them for awhile now. Best Buy is making money. Nomad is generating revenue from Best Buy. All of you have lost money as far as I'm concerned.

Then they promised that all pre-orders had been shipped almost 3 weeks ago, but no one here has actually received one yet. (Unless they bought one from Best Buy.)

It ain't coming. Call your credit card company now and report the situation to the Better Business Bureau.

That may very well be the case. I am not denying that we may have all been "had"

However, I have given the company a day to respond.

Trust me, if it's not a response I am happy with, I am going to commit the next few weeks to trashing the product and its company across as many retail sites as I can.

Once again, before I take that route, I am going to give the company every opportunity to either get the product to my door this upcoming week -or- refund my credit card completely.

Hello Everyone!

There are 18 pages to this thread as I begin to post this message. I have only read this last page. Please excuse the fact I have not gone back further. Hopefully one of you will be kind enough to supply an update.

Seems like I am in the same boat as all of you.

Was one of the first to order a NOMAD stand. First, the product was delayed a month for issues related to manufacturing.

However, even worse, once notification was received that the stand actually shipped, it has been allegedly sitting in a mail warehouse in Fort Worth Texas, according to my DELIVERIES app.

Now I am reading (and just this page) that perhaps there is even a larger issue at hand here.

All I know is that I have been waiting forever for this watch stand.

I am going to write Chloe about this, but it seems to me that even if another is shipped, it's going to be another few weeks until it is received given the fact that it's being shipped from overseas.

Can someone kindly give the latest update and impressions on what is going on here with the NOMAD stands?

We were delayed in both production and shipping. All backordered units have been shipped. However, not all have arrived yet, and will continue to arrive over the coming days. Orders placed between May 21st and June 7th were the last to ship, and shipped out of our Shenzhen factory to Hong Kong on Friday and were received in Hong Kong on Friday, and will ship out via Direct Link from Hong Kong on Monday.

The tracking system provides some, but an admittedly limited amount of information, so it can be hard to tell from the system exactly where your order is. I know this isn't ideal. Our goal was to offer the best tracking that we could given the relatively low shipping rates we charge.

We guarantee the delivery or full reimbursement if a customer chooses to cancel their order at any time. You can best reach us at chloe@hellonomad.com and we aim to respond within one business day. If for any reason your Stand doesn't arrive and the tracking info is not getting updated, we will send out a replacement from our US warehouse (inventory will be arriving on Monday and processing early this week).

I think what people would like an honest answer to is how you managed to supply a retailer with units long before anyone got theirs and in many cases are still waiting.

Considering you took people's money and have left them waiting while shipping units to a store, pretty bad form to be honest and certainly not a way to inspire trust from consumers. I know you've lost me as a customer permanently.

Despite other negative replies here, I am going to remain in the "positive camp" despite several posts here warning me that I have been taken advantage of.

I try to give companies the benefit of the doubt.

So here is where I stand (excuse the pun)...

According to the DELIVERIES app, my order has been sitting in a warehouse in Texas. If it does not move in the next day or so, whereas I don't receive the stand at my doorstep this upcoming week, I am going to raise hell. The last thing you want to do is piss off a guy like me. I will go to extreme extents to make certain I can notify as many people across the internet that they should not purchase your product because of "shady business" tactics, if it turns out to be true. I am very internet savvy and I have a lot of time and determination to go after any company that rips me off. Beware!!

I think you also have to answer for refunds you have given others for their troubles and not others.

Very dangerous to offer "perks" to one customer and not another, because word gets out on the forums very fast.

Good question.

I have seen pictures of the stands on desks. No telling if they came from Nomad directly or Best Buy.

Also concerned about some of the Best Buy reviews saying that the stand has the potential to scratch the back of the watch as it has no protective padding. However, right now, that is the least of my concerns.

Yesterday I looked at some of the twitter threads and stuff is moving to customers. Go to the DirectLink tracking page and enter these Nomad orders to see for yourself:

USA12683 - at customs on 11th "Order received into final destination country
USA11614 - was delivered on 11th (this order had several lines of clearing customs info where the one above did not)
USA13375 - at customs on 12th "order received into final destination country"

I pulled up a few others and most were showing order in transit, but there's a lot "pre-advice received" still. I personally think DirectLink tracking is horrible but like I've said before I get long gaps without any updates from UPS and USPS all the time too. I have no guess as to why a number of us were showing In Transit and then that info disappeared from their tracking. Once the stuff leaves Nomad's factory apart from resending an item or refunding a charge, the package is out of their hands and not much they can do otherwise.

I think there is a bit too much strong negativity going on in this thread against Nomad given the fact that the owner has been personally responding to queries. If the company was truly giving customers the "shaft" I would not expect the personal response.

So, for the moment, I am ignoring the strong anti-Nomad rhetoric being posted here. I will give Nomad the benefit of doubt. If I am wrong in the end, I am man enough to apologize for it.

That being said, it's DO OR DIE this upcoming week. If those of us that have our tracked orders here in the United States don't have our deliveries completed THIS WEEK, then you better believe there is going to be hell to pay. All of us have been waiting several months for these stands to arrive, putting up with manufacturing revision delays and delivery that is excruciatingly slow and unreliable.

Not only did they offer me less than others for not canceling my order but they continue to tell me that my item has shipped and I continue to see no movement. In a week or so I will be moving to a new address and my item will be delivered to an address I no longer live at because it took so long to arrive!

How is it that they offered some people who complained a full refund and allegedly said, "give the stand away to a friend when it arrives"?

How do I get on that deal?!

It's the same situation the company put themselves into when they offered different initial discounts and word got out on the Internet about what they were doing. I found out about the 20% discount over the 10% I was initially offered by reading this forum.

Hey, I'd like a full refund for all the waiting I have been put through, yet get a stand in the process. Is Nomad going to do that for me and you?

No, they won't do it for you and I. I waited months to get this stand and now someone else will receive my stand due to my move and their snail paced delivery! They have different service standards for every order and it seems to differ day to day. They seem to not anticipate that customers will talk. When we as customers talk many are getting upset because they aren't offered the same thing as someone else!

I know right.With Nomad, customers have to do all the work and ask support. A serious company should REACH their customers and COMMUNICATE. Don't leave the customers and let them wonder what is happening.. As far as I know, only people on this forum are aware of all the reasons why orders have been delayed. What about the rest of the customers? I haven't seen any official communication email. No official email means that the customers will contact Chloe for details and your support will get hammered by those emails. Not a smart move.

My money was taken, I was told 4 times it would arrive, be there soon or it was on its way.

It has not arrived. It's just shy of three months.

From what I can tell this is a scam.

I'm seeing orders placed in March. I'm seeing people saying that they were told 4 times that it's on the way.

But no "Stand" yet...

It's now June 15th and until proven differently, all we have are empty promises.

But that was 4 days ago, yet no one here has received one. If they all shipped, don't you think that at least one or two people here would have received one?

Well guess it depends on where in the country you live. I would expect West coast probably to get theirs first. No idea when it arrives on U.S. soil how it will reach us so that would be another factor to take into account (i.e. what delivery service DirectLink will use). BTW I also noticed that another guy named Alexd.... (from the UK according to his twitter account...amazing what you can find online) received his on 6/11 and posted a photo of it on his account. Looking back through the tweets he says he ordered it on March 17.

Regardless of when people pre-ordered they told us the stands weren't ready to ship until what? end of May? So people have started receiving them from China at the end of the 2nd week in June. I don't consider that horrible.

The question was concerning anyone using these forums. A Twitter feed is not someone using this forum! So the answer is still that no one using this thread has received one. Perhaps because he was doing a "review" it got one.

THREE MONTHS? I ordered mine 3 months ago. I get all my apple stuff from China in 3 days.

I waited a week past the last promised ship date with no stand to cancel my order, only to be told it wasn't possible- I had to wait for it to arrive and then return it. After finally getting a tracking number (another week later) and another week after that with no movement, I insisted they cancel the order since there's no way the package is going to even get to me at this point. I contacted my credit card company to file a dispute and advised Nomad of the situation. I received an generated email for order cancellation and this from Chloe:

"I can process this refund for you. However, we are beyond the time limit allowed by our software to issue that refund directly to your card. Do you have a PayPal account I can have this sent to right away?"

I don't get this, how would they have refunded me if I had returned the package? My original request for cancellation was barely over the 60 day mark from the order date (mid March). Considering these started as pre-orders, were they not prepared to refund orders over 30 days old? At this point I'm done listening to all the things they "can't" do- I'll let my CC company handle it from here.

To all the people willing to wait "just one more day..." are you really going to let these people jerk you around like this? Do you really expect the pod shipments to fare any better? This constant runaround plus the stock at best buy arriving and still NO one here reporting receiving a pre-order....what a joke.
