A lot of "beware" and "warnings" were given the moment talk about the Nomad stand started here at MacRumors, so it's no surprise that here we are today seeing these kind of problems and horrible customer service.

Buyer beware!

I sent them an email on Friday morning asking about my order with no reply whatsoever, so I just emailed them this..

"Please refer to the email I sent 4 days ago. I don't want to say this, but I am starting to get frustrated. I was one of the first to preorder this product and 5 days after supposedly starting to ship, I haven't received any notification whatsoever. On top of that, I have noticed this exact product, the one that I preordered well over a month ago, is now available at Best Buy. Please get back to me with an explanation AND status update by EOD today, otherwise I would like to cancel my order."

I can't believe they shipped to Best Buy first

I can go online and have the stand by Thursday (ordered from Best Buy), yet my order from April 22nd has "not fulfilled"! They are getting an email from me, but I better count to 10 before I write it.

Two hours later.. no reply. I followed up with this..

"Are you receiving my emails? If I don't hear from you with an explanation and a status update by 3pm today, I would like a full refund of $60 and I will be purchasing another stand elsewhere. I look forward to hearing from you very soon."

I'm getting heated, this is awful customer service and I plan on being very vocal about this publicly if this isn't resolved in the next couple hours.

This morning at 10am, telling them if I don't hear from them by EOD 3pm I will cancel my order, no reply. I'm done with this company and I encourage you all to cancel your order as well, these people are unbelievably unprofessional and shady. Here is my final email to them..

"Please cancel my order immediately. Don't ship anything out, and I expect a full refund of $60. This has been one of the worst examples of customer service I have ever witnessed. I have purchased another stand elsewhere and look forward to hopefully be treated as a priority. Let me know when you have applied the $60 back to me. Actually, let me know when you receive this so I know your email is even working."

what a joke, as they cant even give me an exact date.

At least you got an email. I haven't received a reply from my email I sent on Friday, or the three that I sent today. I plan on leaving every negative review possible wherever applicable for this awful company.

Wonder if it will be the same with the Pod? I cancelled the stand but still have the Pod on order, July shipping now, originally June. I may try to cancel the Pod, don't know how successful I'll be as I had an excuse to cancel the stand due to the design change which I didn't like.

This is what I get after no replies from 4 emails at all Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and all day Tuesday...

"Due to the circumstances, I'm going to forward this to Noah, the CEO of Nomad. He will be able to assist you from here. Please note, he is currently on a flight to China so there may be a slight delay in his correspondence."

Are these people trying to build the worst reputation possible? I've never been "that guy" but if they don't handle this situation promptly and terribly satisfactory, I plan on leaving every terrible review possible wherever I see opportunity online.

I received the same reply. I demanded that she give an exact date by the end of today otherwise I'm cancelling the order.

This company is trash.

UNBELIEVABLE THAT I CAN ORDER THIS AT BEST BUY NOW!! Shipping in the order they were received!? How about all those who will place an order on Best Buy today and get them weeks before me!! This company used our preorder money to fund the startup cost to get these at Best Buy! Why fulfill the orders they have when they can ship some to Best Buy and sell even more!!

An utterly unprofessional company. DISGUSTING.

I just searched for best buy in store pickup by zip code and 15 stores displayed having it in stock NOW for pickup, yet I ordered mid March and have no word on when mine is supposed to arrive. I emailed to cancel but was told the order could not be prevented from shipping now but I could return it when it arrived. At this point I do not want the stand on principle.

You could send them an e-mail back, stating that you refuse their suggestion and call your CC company and have the charges reversed.

You can refuse to receive the package and the courier will return it to the sender.
(If they leave it on your doorstep/porch, you'll need to take it to the courier to have them ship it back).

Nine days ago I contacted them and wanted to cancel my order and get a refund. They cancelled my order straight away and...

...still no refund. Nine days have passed.

This Company has some problems!

Right now I could order the Space Grey and have it tomorrow from Best Buy. Order by 11:30 EDT and it is here tomorrow. The one review posted about the silver one was probably written by one of Nomads employees. It was posted on Memorial Day and there are no deliveries on that day. Does anyone know when Best Buy started selling this?
I received the same email about Noah being on his way to China, no doubt in First Class or a private jet paid for with our money.

I don't see a space gray dock on Bestbuy.com. Do you have a link?

I cancelled my order ages ago. As soon as they sent out the emails about the change of design. I'm glad I did it then as it looks like I would have had more issues now. They refunded me as soon as they replied to my email. Definitely will not be dealing with NOMAD again. Poor customer service and very shady indeed from what I have read here.

After asking countless times for an explanation as to why Best Buy carries these before preorders, and when my order will be shipped, I received this from the CEO..

"I sincerely apologize for the delay. I know you've been waiting a long time and I can understand your frustration with us. I just landed on the ground in Shenzhen, China, where we manufacture Stand. We are shipping them out of neighboring Hong Kong. We're fast at work here to get yours shipped out. I know it's been a long wait on your end, so from the team and me we really do apologize. Stands have been produced and right now we're working fast to get the backorder shipped out."


Literally none of my issues were addressed.
