Nomad stands-delayed...

They were quick with my stand refund, but that was just after they changed the design. I have now requested my Pod order to be cancelled but that was a few days ago and have heard nothing!
I paid with Paypal so may lodge a Paypal dispute that they have not responded and have not complied with the original promised ship date.
Don't wait too long folks for your refund. There's a chance they don't have the money which is why they're dragging their feet by not responding for days.
Call your credit card company (or PayPal), explain the situation, and have the charge reversed.

No ill will meant towards the person who posted these pictures (it's not his/her fault), but for those of you who paid your hard-earned money two months ago to pre-order the Nomad Stand, here's some pics from someone that was able to walk in today and buy one from Best Buy. Meanwhile, none of you have your Stand and have received nothing but broken promises.

Just submitted my request for a refund. Ordered 4/11 and card charged on 4/13. Thought i would be patient but the Best Buy thing is ridiculous and now I know there is no way the stand makes it for the date I need it as a gift. Some shady accounting going on to, on my order email there is a place to download an invoice so I did today, invoice shows today's date but that still full balance is due even though my full charge posted on 4/13.
I'll give it 48hrs if not I'll let AMEX handle it, went on my corp card and they are usually pretty quick about it.

Still no word from nomad after requesting to cancel so I just filed a claim with Paypal and let my credit card company know what has happened. Both paypal and my CC said they'll reverse the charges.
I went to Best Buy to pick up my preorder today. Guess I'll just return the one that Nomad ships to Best Buy when it finally arrives. They really screwed us on this... it feels like we funded their production to get the stand in retail outlets. I wanted to cancel so badly to say "screw you" to Nomad but they've got me because this is the only stand I've seen so far that has a design that really appeals to me.
They're using the Swedish postal service. This is verbatim from an email from Brian of Nomad almost exactly a month ago
Also, the stand will ship from Hong Kong, directly to your door, using the Swedish postal system, so it is the most direct, fastest way from the factory floor, to you.
Seeing your pictures has made me happier that I cancelled. Doesn't look that great now I see real world photos. And the metal on metal thing makes me cringe. I can see the threads now. "NOMAD stand has scuffed my apple watch!"

The amount of "metal on metal" is very minimal... only two edges touching the inside of the band. The charging puck is not flush mounted. I placed it on the stand and removed it many times and don't think it's going to scuff. If I was worried then wouldn't use it but I think it will be fine.
Nothing. I received an email response from Nomad on Friday, 5/22 indicating that "all should be shipped by the end of next week." So, it's now the end of the week and no one has shipping notice.
I just sent this email to them after I got the same lame email that their CEO was in China:
"Your same lame, non conclusive email has been circulated all over social media and the net.. I suggest you get new material I will be calling my bank to take care of this issue. Not a company I want to have any dealings with Be truthful and upfront and your customers will respect you.

They have also cancelled my order and offered me a full refund. I think it's safe to say this will be the last time I will be dealing with them as a customer.

For those of you that went to Best Buy, perhaps you should go to their site and review the product. Let interested buyers know about our experience with this so called "company" Let them know the crap we have been through and they may take a second look at buying it. Since I wouldn't be a verified buyer, still one of the holdouts waiting for them to ship, I don't think my review would be posted.
Of course they were. Not only did they get an interest free loan from you. They also more than likely made higher margins from you and had a sale through a channel partner increasing the strength of that relationship.
That looks better than the other pictures I have seen. Are you concerned with scratches since there is no protection at the edge?
I am a little concerned, but with the DLC coating on the band it's pretty resistant to scratches. I rubbed the watch accidently on a cinderblock wall and the only thing damaged was the cinderblock.
. Seriously though, I looked at my watch and there were particles where I rubbed the band on the wall, but they wiped away and there was no damage or scratches. I may get some felt to add to the stand at the contact points just to avoid hearing the sound of the metal on metal contact.
