I would love the Milanese Loop but not for the retail price. So the price he's asking is reasonable for me. I dont live in the USA but he's going to try to ship it towards my country anyway.

Did you recieve one from Inkoo888 before? If you have one, on which points are they different compared to the real one?
I didn't get mine from Inkoo888 but I think it came from the same factory. I made a post earlier in this thread and it is lucky #600 post! Here's the link to that post so as to save you time from scrolling back lol https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...ple-watch-bands.1881150/page-24#post-21619830

Is Hoco's Milanese Loop a "branded" version of this clone?

I can't be sure. In fact, I can never be sure with these chinese sellers as their pictures are forever misleading.

It's not too bad, you don't really notice it throughout the day. If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for yours? I paid $200us but was expecting the 1:1 based on their photos and the price. They told me that they accidentally sent the wrong one and will send the 1:1 ASAP. I'd happily pay maximum $100 for this band since it's a really nice band, and you can't even tell it's different when your wearing it. But the 1:1 I would assume is much more comfortable.. Hopefully they stick to their word..

I paid $58.99 on ebay from the Utica guy Freedomoclock.

And from the photos posted, it looks exactly like the accidental one they sent you.

As I've stated several times, inkoo88 does not ship from the US. All of his responses are just generic canned responses. Will you receive your product? Yes, but it will take 7 to 10 days to get here because it IS coming from China. The leather loop that I ordered from him didn't even come in a box just a little plastic bag. Having said that though, the quality does seem to be on par with the other clones.
If you order from him, I would advise not even looking at your tracking numbers because they are worthless. Just try to forget you ordered it and be surprised 10 days later when your package arrives.
I too have have filed a complaint and given him a 1 star review. I've said it before. If I wanted to order from a seller in China, I would have. I chose him because his store states that his product is located in New Jersey. To me, it is very shady to lure customers to your store under the false pretense that you have a product in the country from which most people are ordering them from. For that reason he got reported and and got a 1 star review from me.
I cannot recommend him due to this simple fact.

Anyone received a black version of the Link band yet? I'm tempted with all of the new ones popping up but I think I'd like to hear from someone and see how it looks with the space grey sport.

I see what you mean. Of course high quality replica watches have been produced in China in the past and present. And at some point in time it can of course also be expected to see a high quality clone of the Link Bracelet.

However there is a difference between classic luxury watch replicas and bands for Apple Watch in my opinion. Up to now luxury watches are seen as time pieces that can be worn for years or even decades. So when you looked on replica markets it could take well over a year until a high quality replica of your favorite Breitling would appear. (If we're talking high quality and not the average crap replicas for tourists.) It could still cost a few thousand RMB if done extremely well and no one would care that it took so long to achieve that quality since it was this traditional kind of jewelry time piece.

For Apple Watch this seems to vastly differ to me. No one knows when the next model will be released at this point. No one knows if the spring bars will be altered or new version of bands are going to be released for a new model. How long will the current model be usable? Those are a lot of unanswered questions for a manufacturer and I don't think it is surprising to see a totally different quality compared to luxury replicas here. This is much more a traditional electronics accessory at the moment and I also wasn't expecting anything else.

So having that said: When writing this part I was not regarding this band as a luxury replica but rather an electronics accessory nor did I expect a good quality for the first attempt on the Link Bracelet to be released just three months after the watch.

Do you have a guesstimation on an eta for the black 1:1?

I ordered the Milanese Loop from Inko888 on Sunday July 26, received a tracking number the next day that didn't work. Today (Thursday) it finally worked showing it being scanned in NJ this morning. I'll probably get it within the timeframe it stated. Maybe this Saturday the earliest! Shipping in the USA.
Looks like mine departed from NJ this morning. I'm 9 hours away from there so might come tomorrow if I'm lucky.

Ive been waiting for my LL since i placed an order on the 18th from Inko88. Finally, after many emails Ive been able to get a $3 discount for my trouble, but i wont buy from them again. Prices arent worth the hassle, ill stick with my friend Freedomoclock, even though he owes me a refund after I asked for a discount if I ordered a 2nd set of black spring adapters.

Thanks for the review, very detailed and helpful. $90 isn't bad, and this actually looks pretty good. If they come out with a polished (not brushed) version I'd be all over it, especially since the JUUK Indiegogo failed.

I have not heard about a polished version yet. You could take a little bit of metal / aluminum polish and make this a DIY project. ;-)

Do you have a guesstimation on an eta for the black 1:1?

My guess would be soon after the silver version. Right now production is on hold for what seems to be problems with clearance (flush fit) of the clasp and secure locking between removable links. They are actually doing quality tests with the band. So once those pass and we can get an approximate release date I would say probably a few weeks after that. Current release is still scheduled around first half of August - but don't get up your hopes too much - to hit that date production would need to be actually running on scale.

My leather loop from Sikai (ali express) is finally here!
At first, the short side of the band would move side to side when locked in, and have the typical gap seen on all the other bands.
I tried flipping it, and it no longer moves, and there is also no gap.
The long strap doesn't lock in place. Moves around a lot. I'm not sure how much I'd trust it.

Also, there are a lot of black fragments coming off the band as I touch it. I feel like it'll fall apart fairly quickly.

Overall, not worth the 2 month wait.

Edit: After playing with it a bit, I got it to stay locked. But not sure how long it will last, especially if I'll be switching to sport band when I run.
