That looks exactly like the Apple version, just a bit unfinished. The yellow colored tape is similar to what they put on unfinished parts & to protect the area around the Lightning ports on iOS devices.

When you ordered, did you get to specify what size strap you wanted? The sellers I have seen don't seem to request a strap size. The genuine Apple Leather Loop come in both large and medium and I know the large is too long for me.
I'd hate to order one and find that it only comes in one size and it's too large.
I just contacted one of the sellers of the leather loop on eBay, and they told me the loop straps are 18cm and 5cm.
The 18cm size would be way too large. The genuine Apple Leather Loop (Large) is 13cm and 8cm and the Medium is 12cm and 7cm.
I tried on Apple's large loop and it was huge on me, but the medium size was fine. I think with the fake leather loop, it would dwarf my wrist (170mm wrist).

Beware of seller buygoodsweb.
After a couple of days back and forth; in which they vehemently recommended not to use express delivery, they finally said they do NOT have stock at the moment. This was when I asked them to show me a real photo of the product.

I'm still waiting for my Non OEM black leather loop from Amazon. It has a window for delivery of June 4-22. I picked up the real deal from the Apple Store today. Since it was available. I will compare quality and if or when the non OEM comes in. I will sale one of them on eBay or use the cheaper band for work.
Now a direct comparison would be might interesting as opposed to someone who owns only the bootleg. Be sure to check back when you receive it and post your thoughts.
The seller I bought the red leather loop from was supposed to send out mine today (after "recalling" the first one after I'd gotten a shipping number). I emailed him first thing this morning asking if it did indeed ship, saying that if had not been sent out today I would request a refund. Have not heard back.
Since none of us have gotten a leather loop (black, red, or otherwise), I don't believe they ever had them.

Today's update... Seller states the warehouse has no red leather loops in stock, will I take black or blue. Followed by another communication that my band has shipped and a tracking number will be available shortly.
I responded that if they couldn't provide a tracking number showing that China Post already had possession of the parcel (not just notification) that I wanted an immediate refund as I'm not in the habit of loaning money!

Not sure which seller you bought from but I bought the exact same thing, waited for 1 mth and it never came. I made a claim on PayPal, got my money back and moved on...

Yes I did. I raised a claim in Paypal and he responded and refunded the money. Not sure what he did with my money in that 1 mth but I don't wanna know. I got my money back, gave a negative feedback and moved on.
I don't get why they do this. Maybe the supplier wasn't able to provide the bands ?
Anyways will wait until the 16 and file a claim.
I'm calling fake, or that this guy took a picture of the OEM.
The 42MM logo is still on the band. I doubt these ripoff scumbags would copy it down to that small logo.
Perhaps I'm wrong here but that seems suspicious.
its real i saw pictures of the ones that are shipped in chinese apple watch forum it looks exactly like the ones from apple but idk about how the leather feel tho
