I just received my butterfly 0.5:1 clone in black and I'm not satisfied.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/25195026517...49&var=550907347103&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Hopefully this is a defective unit. The gap is pretty bad, especially when sliver is shining through the black. I also noticed that the last link next to the connector is crooked. I was able to take the last link off and thought I could straighten it out, but the problem is that the rectangle connector is crooked. If I look closely, the pinhole is drilled too high one of the sides, which is causing it to rest too high.

I'm trying to work with the seller to see if he can replace this with a non-defective link bracelet.

For they price the're asking (and you've paid for) is this NOT the quality you would expect.
I'll really hope that you'll get a refund or a replacement, they do offer a 14-day money back service but buyer pays return shipment.

Wow that is bad. Hopefully you can get that sorted out. I'm starting to notice that people who recieved defective link bracelets are the ones who go the ones without the tiny holes on the side of the links.

Yea, I'm pretty disappointed. I had ordered it before the prices started dropping.

Also, one of the things that really disappoints me about the black link bracelet is how you see silver in between all of the links. It's too bad they didn't coat the inner link connectors black as well. It's a really minor detail that could have gone a long way towards making this bracelet look amazing. Oh well.

The seller agreed to let me return it. Upon receiving it, I will get a refund on top of the cost of shipping it back.

Wow, that's pretty bad, especially for the price paid. Sounds like the seller is making it right which is good to hear.

Guess the decision to return the Freedomclock09 link band has been made for me! I went to get up from the couch today and the band broke at the second link after the adapter. I've emailed Freedomclock09 to see if he will replace or refund. I was able to re-attach the band, but I don't trust it now. My watch fell off my wrist...luckily it was onto the couch. I just received mine from Freedomoclock09 yesterday, looks awesome but the gap is big between the first and second link along with a gouge as well. Feels like it might fall apart. Already set it up to send it back. I'm looking into the link bracelet with the links all the way around. I like the look of that one.

Having been following this thread, along with posts on reddit, it seems more and more the version of the link bracelet with links that go all the way around looks like the most solid option.

Does it matter much where it's ordered from? There's a few price variances depending on the source, but they all look to be selling the same 1st gen link bracelet.

I have to hand it to Freedomclock09...he sent me a return label in order to return the broken watch band and already refunded me my money before I even sent it out. Great customer service! Hopefully he gets the 1:1 band so I can purchase that from him!

Does he have a store that ships to EU as well?

So I finally received my non-oem Link bracelet today.. Its the 1. generation in grey/tarnish. Im satisfied with the quality, but the item i received had a some paint which seems too be peeled off or something. I wrote the seller and im waiting for a response atm. I actually think the grey link bracelet with the SS watch matches each other well. There seems too be a gap between the adapter and the first link, but its nothing that concerns me.

Here's the seller:

For those that can't stand the GAP on the .9:1 clone, there is a relatively crude way to fix it. This is applicable to the version with the Apple Style butterfly clasp and has link removal pins from the inside of the band.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/25195026517...49&var=550907347103&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

1) First, take off the link that connects to the watch. There is a release pin on the inside of the band that allows you to pop it off.

2) Locate the rectangular metal joint that connects the two links. If you're looking at it head on, it looks like the attached pic.

- You'll notice that this piece articulates a lot. This is the problem that creates the HUGE GAP when it drapes over your wrist.

3) Find a way to make this connecting joint fixed, so it doesn't articulate. As a proof of concept, I dabbed some super glue into the opening, and let it dry. After that, the articulating joint no longer moves.

4) Put the link back on.

After that, no more gap. The band bows out a little bit, instead of draping directly against your wrist, but that is a compromise I am willing to deal with. Couldn't stand the gap. The glue hasn't come undone yet, but there is no doubt that it will loosen eventually. This was done just as a proof of concept to get the ideas flowing for people that are stuck with this band. Long term, I'll need to find a way to weld this joint in place.

For now, I'm a lot happier without the gap.

I received my link bracelet today.

UNFORTUNATELY... They sent me the wrong one. The pictures depicted the old style with links all the way around. The one they sent is the new style with Apple clasp like system.

Now, some may say "That's great!" because I only paid $80 CAD and got the more expensive band. BUT, with all the links removed it still doesn't fit tight. I like looser steel bands on regular watches, but this may be an issue with the Apple watch. I'll have to see if it ends up locking too much when it loses contact.

Plus the gaps.... Plus one connector has polished sides, and the other is matte on the sides. Plus there is some scuffing on the inside of the connector, which doesn't bother me that much cause it's on the inside.

I've contacted the seller to see what he can do about it. Hopefully he'll either send the correct one with a return label, or refund as I can't see myself wearing this band often unless I chunk up lol.

Thought I had finally found the perfect band, but alas, every clone has had some issue with it (except for my red leather loop).

Could you at least post pics of it to see the clasp?

How long is the pin of the broken link?

On the picture I hardly cannot see a pin.

Question to owners of the link bracelet with butterfly clasp: does one pin at the connector look also like this? It seems that its not completey inside the link.

On the other side I tried to push the pin into the link and it moved a little bit.

But this side looks now even worse - the pin looks like only one quarter inside the link.

How do your last pins look like?

Throwing this out there, if anyone wants to sell their Freedomclock09 Link Band that they aren't satisfied with, I'll take it off of your hands. He's all out of 38mm silver, the one I wanted.

All the things I've ordered that come from China go through Secaucus, Chicago, NY, or somewhere in CA for customs. Customs holds them from anywhere from 1 day to a week. I've even had something come into NY and then go to CA before heading my way. So if you're seeing things going to any of these places and not moving, it's probably because they came from China and are sitting in customs.

So I just received my link bracelet from this source http://www.aliexpress.com/item/1-1-...pple-Watch-Iwatch-Fold-Clasp/32418413709.html

However, upon watching this video review the links in my band aren't coming apart. I've used just about anything that fits in the holes as I currently don't have a sim tool remover but the links aren't coming apart to be able to fit it. Is this a different style? The packaging was the same as in the video. What am i doing wrong?
