I know it's not really my say, but if I were you I would wait. Ordering something that intricate leaves so much room for manufacturing errors from the 3rd party supplier. Waiting until reviews come out will allow you to see if this 1:1 clone is going to meet acceptable standards. Also, being a first in line buyer will be risky as you don't know if the removable link mechanism will stay strong over time and cause the watch to fall off your wrist and, incidentally, damage your watch.
Thanks , I'll wait and see what happens.

I watched the video again and attempted it once more this morning. However. I am still unable to remove the links. There are two types of holes I am seeing. Ones that are more toward the surface with small lines in them. Then there are the ones deeper into the side. I would assume you apply a sim removal tool inside the ones that are deeper in? Nothing seems to budge for me unfortunately.

Did you ever figure this out? I think I bought the same one. It seems different from the ones in the video. It has arrows pointing to one side on the inside of the band. And the pins don't spring in at all like other watch bands that adjust in the same way as the video. I've tried using a sim tool, safety pin, paperclip, wiggling/pushing/pulling the links while pushing in. And of course, I tried on both sides.

I'm no watch expert, but I think these are the pins that need to be "hammered" out.

Yep, you need a tool similar to this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Bracele...-Band-Strap-/171813471747?hash=item2800e18603

This is a pretty cheap one and the pin part bends pretty easily if you aren't careful. It will work though. They have better quality ones if you just search "watch pin remover" or similar.

Received the v3 link bracelet clone today. Overall not bad, didn't see any big gap. Removed 8 links but still too big for my wrist. Maximum size it can go is 210mm, minimum is 165mm. I have a 150mm wrist. You can see in the photos that how much space are there in between my wrist. It fit on my wrist, not too loose, just that I can see the space in between my wrist

Sorry It didn't fit. :(

I just ordered the same band, but in black (first seller I've seen with the black version, and I have dealt with them before so I trust them http://www.ebay.com/itm/151777474279?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=450988252131&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT ). My wrist is exactly 165mm. So I'm hoping this one fits, because the Gen 2 band was too loose with all the links taken out - But I knew that from other threads, thats why I ordered gen 1.

Thankfully the last seller refunded me for sending the wrong version (I ordered v1 and they sent v2) so Maybe I can frankenstein something together if possible to make a good fit, as long as the finishes and links match.

It does look great though. Here's hoping!!

Btw: Don't attempt to try and forcefully remove the non-removable links. I tried this and the outcome was, well, less than desirable. It worked but the link is a little warped lol. Maybe if someone had a very small Dremel bit you could cut out the portion where the springbar is and remove it - ask around if you know anyone good with tools.

Isn't that the same as this? https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...colid=3NDKGHC4337B&coliid=I3878402FG68DY&vs=1

Looks cheaper from HappyCell via Amazon, at least if you are in the U.S.?

Looks to be the same one I ordered.

I got it for the same price in $USD. Within about 5 minutes the ebay seller updated the listing and increased the price.

Nice to see it in the flesh and know it does in fact exist! I trust the seller, as they sent me extra adapters when a band they sold me had a bum one, with great communication.

I'm hoping the links are the same as my gen 2, and I can replace the links with holes with the ones without. then again I have a feeling I'll be removing all the links for my wrist size anyways. :)

Anyone brave enough to order the 1:1 clone and let me know what it's like?

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Stai...21693706.html?spm=2114.031010208.3.177.hWHGN5

The one I ordered had the same photos as this one, and they sent me a non 1:1, they sent me the same one that freedomoclock is selling. So I opened a dispute. When I asked them why they use the same exact photos as other sellers, they said that they have multiple stores and that its all theirs. I wouldn't trust this one.. I won the dispute and got refunded $145 from the $200, but it's not worth the headache..

Utica guy has the newest clone that is almost a 1:1. I can't keep track of the way it's been called. Is it 90:1 or rev. 3?

38 mm and 42 mm

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=281781132523&globalID=EBAY-US

I wonder if they've fixed the gap issue...

The Utica Guy one has the pins UNDER the band while the Happy Cell’s pins are on the SIDE of the band. Pretty big difference IMO.

I just got my 38mm freedomoclock09 v. 2 link bracelet today. Unfortunately, it's 1 link too big -- has anyone tried removing one of the non-removable links? How did it go?

I've done it with mine and it's a lot of work. I used a pair of pliers to wiggle the edges of the outer link so that I can insert a thin knife to push the pin. It may take a few tries but after more than an hour I got about 3 links off and replaced them with the removable ones. So far it looks pretty good, can't tell the difference from the outside.

That being said, I did contact Richard (the Utica guy) about it and he said that the newer version will have more removable links. I am guessing that what he's selling now is the newer version because the minimum wrist size he listed for it is 155mm instead of 165mm with the older version (the one I have).

That's crazy you say that because I got version .2 of the .5/1 clone from Richard Freedomoclock today and in fact, as I posted last week, the new version of the link has more removable links.
In fact the last one, I could only remove 2 from each side whilst the new one, I removed 4 links from each end of the link and now my watch fits nice and snug.
I have to say there are gaps by the clasp and maybe one or two not too noticeable on the band's sides (well I'm OCD too and take meds for it so maybe that's why it doesn't bother me at all) but other than that, the link band now fits perfectly and it's now small to fit my 140mm wrist.
This is what it looks like btw.

Hi everyone.

Hope you can help me.

I am looking for the best black link bracelet clone that I can get in the UK but to me honest I am confused with them all.

I see there are mentions of versions etc but can't work out which is which.

This is a link to one on eBay I am watching but how do you know which version it is:-

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/316L-Stainl...-Spot-sales-/141758087278?nav=WATCHING_ACTIVE

Could anyone help and advise me and maybe send me some website links to certain versions?

I also see that some are a space grey type colour and others are black. Which in your mind is closer to the official Apple black one? I am assuming it is the black like in the link I posted?

Thanks

I think this one is from the first batch 1.0 version of the .50/1 clone. Also I would thing the Space gray is closer to the Apple's Space Black? But someone who has seen both side by side might be able to confirm with more accuracy.

Can you provide any links to a version 3 black?

Don't really want to order a v1.

What are the differences between them all?

Thanks

Version 2:
- original clasp on the outside
- butterfly clasp on the inside
- need tool to adjust (pin on the side of the link or on the inside)

Version 3:

Example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Apple-W...mm-42mm-Tool-/281781132523?afsrc=1&rmvSB=true

Version 4:

Well, this is the 3rd version which is the 1/1 clone but so far is o silver by freedomoclock Utica Guy.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Apple-W...acelet-Watchband-38mm-42mm-Tool-/281781132523
And here's the second versions from Freedomoclock as well.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Black-G...nk-Bracelet-Watchband-Kits-Tool-/281769965250
As far as the differences go, well, the gaps are close to gone on this new batch, and by next month the 1/1 clone will be out from Chinese manufacturers. Others whom have both colors can help you more in pointing out other differences.
