I've wanted an official yellow Sport Band for a while, but got sick of waiting a couple of months I ended up getting my first clone Sport Band off AliExpress.

It certainly looks the part, and feels similar. It's a little softer but once on it'd be hard to tell it's fake. I do prefer the fluoroelastomer however, not sure if it's the material or coating, but the fake silicone ones do attract a tad more fluff.

It was also about USD $7 shipped?

Your description of the watch just floating on your wrist got me. So I ordered one. It came in today, and boy are you right! It's really marvelous, and I'm not a fan of the sort bands.
That's great to hear! I just caved and bought a couple of bands from them when they had a recent sale. Still waiting on them to actually ship, which is a tad annoying (beyond spoiled by Amazon!), but theirs is the only frosted sport band I've seen. So excited to get it!

Ive been looking for a while but would love two bands now - love your advice as I'm pretty hooked on good quality:

- Best Space black Milanese loop
- Best leather loop

I know both is available from Apple but damn they charge a lot for it

Anyone here with baby-sized wrists with a faux link band? I'm looking on Amazon but my head is spinning with all the prices and generations and whatnot.

I've read reviews that say if you remove all or most of the links, as I'm sure I'll have to, some band get uncomfortably stiff. Going on that premise, is there a link band that works well for tiny wristers? Or is this a style best to stay away from if you don't skew more to the average or larger size wrist?

I got a 38mm faux link from eBay for my wife and even with all the removable links removed it's still too big for her wrist.
I just got a leather loop and it's not bad for my wrist, but if you have just a tad smaller wrists it would be too big... and one of my friends bought a 38 Milanese loop - way too big... A lot of the non-OEM are very big

Thats the thing with eBay/Amazon - its literally pot luck with the links and sizing. I bought a fake link bracelet (Amazon), which had 3 removable links either side of the clasp however, even removing all 6 links, the bracelet was still too large for my wrist. I had to order a bracelet which had 4 removable links either side of the clasp - this then fitted me (think I had to remove 3 from one side and 4 from the other)!

I had the same issue with the genuine Apple Link band - I had to take it to the local Jewlery store and have them remove two more links before it would fit. I have a tiny wrist. You need to find an actual Jewlery store - not a chain store where someone has tools to work with stainless steel. The links will have to be cut out. It cost me another's 100 bucks to have that done because it took them two weeks to reverse engineer Apple's system. Good luck!

Anyone from the UK who can recommend a silver Milanese clone? Looking for something for as close to original as possible, but preferably less than ~£20. Thanks.

Ive just reviewed the MoKo Space Black Milanese Loop (11£ via Amazon UK) and it's pretty damn great - my guess is the clear would be the same

How do the adapters fit? And do you know roughly how thick the mesh is? Thanks.

I did a non-scientific comparison and could feel no difference in the thickness between the Apple stainless Milanese and the Moko black Milanese bands. The adapters seem to also be of good quality - they fit well, lock into place and release as they should.

I owned both the Moko and Apple Milanese for a short period and you can definitely tell a difference between the Apple and the Moko. The moko felt thinner and more flexible vs the Apple one which just felt more solid in the hand. The magnet was stronger on the Apple as well.

Actually, the magnet on my Moko is significantly stronger than that on the Apple band. The magnet on the Apple band is strong and holds the band in place, but on my Moko band, the magnet s stronger.

Strange since the Moko wanted to loosen up while the Apple never did.

Adapters fit great and look dead on my space black (some look more space grey) but don't know how thick. Feels soft and nice though

Thanks for the help! Though actually I've just won an unused OEM Milanese for about £30 on eBay, so I think I'll just keep that. If I don't like it, I think I could sell it on and probably pocket a little bit of change.

If anyone wants to buy my entire knockoff sports band collection let me know I've got 25+ bands I can't wear them as I've because sensitive to the bands for some reason.

Anyone got any pics of the moko space grey or black to direct compare to official apple?

Was hoping space grey was closer match as that bracelet looked nicer.

I would love to see the space grey as well. I wonder how the silver shine through is on that one?

Does the black apple link show silver in the back or is it color matching, I have never really noticed to tell the truth I am assuming color matching?

Got a 4th generation link bracelet and while I am quite impressed with the quality for what it is, I definitely understand why the OEM version costs so much. The tolerances are so much more strict and the machining is impeccable. On the clone, we see the standard gaps in between links as well as various places where the machining is off. There is even a strange dent in the material on one of the lugs. Also, while I was telling my wife that I had heard that sometimes the connectors on the replicas would fail in between lugs, my watch heroically leapt to the (luckily carpeted) floor. It did come undone right at the link that I had just added moments before, so I am giving it the benefit of the doubt for now. I am being incredibly careful though. All in all, not sure if I will be keeping this, but it does give me a greater appreciation for the original and an understanding of its high price.

UPDATE: This is going back. I have had the spontaneous detaching link problem that seems to plague these 4th gen models. I might get a 3rd gen in the future, but for now the 4th is being returned.

I believe there is a "5th gen" now that I have been thinking of getting now that I started working again lol.
