Yeah the weight on these things are pretty comparable. I recently got a 3rd gen black. I got it because the pin system seemed like it would be more reliable while the manufacturers experiment with the easy to remove links.

I have to say that overall I am very satisfied. I owned the genuine black link for a few weeks and I have to say that it stacks up very well. The gaps are about the same and so is the weight. Even the genuine band is very lightweight.

I had two incredibly small paint scratches when I received my band, but I fixed those with automotive touch up. I put pretty heavy wear on my bands and this thing has held up surprisingly well for me. In fact, and don't shoot the messenger please, but this band has held up better in the three weeks I've had it than the genuine Apple one did. I don't expect this to be the case for everyone, and heck mine may start breaking down soon too, but so far so good.

Hi guys!

I'm looking for a stainless steel 1:1 band for my Apple Watch. I don't live in the states so I guess eBay is my best option. I've read some pages here and seen a lot of posts of these bands, how are they holding up after some usage? I want the Black/grey band. And how do I know what gen the band has?

I was looking at this one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-1-Origina...ess-Steel-Band-For-Apple-Watch-/191719107517?

You have to choose colour to see the correct price =)

Is this a 4th gen band or a 5th gen? Anyone bought this one?

Do you have any pictures of your band? And where did you buy it?

Thanks!

I have used a HOCO Link strap since October (loved it) until the adaptor broke a couple of days ago. Now I jumped on a MoKo from Amazon - amazing shipment time etc.

The link bracelet it self is as nice as my old HOCO, but with a few nice updates: The clasp is now Apple style flush and the adjustment with links is even easier... So far love it...

My Clear Strapped&Co Sports band came in today.

The adapter fit is perfect (doesn't stick out of the watch at all), no mould lines.

It's really beautiful. From a distance in bright light, it looks as if the watch is just floating on my wrist.

Bought from this eBay listing when it was on sale:

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Apple-Watch-...ap-Clear-Ice-Silicone-38mm-42mm-/291624734180

Can't recommend the Strapped&Co bands enough, they are a perfect replica to the Apple bands, other than the silicone v.s. fleuroelastomer.

Only possible downside is that you only get to choose between sm/m and m/lg, you don't get both. Which is fine with me, because I can only use the sm/m band and the other would be a waste, like the official lg bands I have sitting in the closet.

It feels so nice and just lifts the watch a LOT... I bought it here: LINK

Regarding the silver between I did notice the picture showed some of it, but it's way way more visible on the picture than in real life in my opinion. I honestly didn't see it until I took this picture and had a close look afterwards because of the picture... And would you really do that to a watch bracelet? For the price, it's a steal compared to OEM Apple which is way too expensive to justify to me

I'm not the kind of guy bothered by every single detail, but that's one thing that would probably irritate me.

You know what... I ended up coming across a picture of the real link bracelet. There's gaps there too.

https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...ss-steel-space-black-shipping-status.1888537/

Actually doesn't bother me as much, now that I've seen that.

Sorry for the delay Mac. I got it on amazon and it was only $44 which to me is fantastic. I still like wearing my other bands so getting something affordable was nice. Here's the link:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019IO4YBE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_b.k0wbSY342RM

Looking back it's a shame it has bad reviews. I'll probably chime in and write one. I think it deserves 4 stars. The fit is very nice, it's lightweight, has been pretty durable thus far. I did have two small scratches on it, but they seem like a paint job imperfection as opposed to damaged good.

Here are some pics in all its glory (and yes I gold plated my Apple Watch):

Yeah they did a great job with the tolerances on this particular band. There was one link was actually a tad too tight so I very carefully bent it back. Only reason was because it affected the comfort of the band.

The gaps are the same as the OEM and I can barely even notice the silver underneath. Seriously, I often forget it's silver until I really look.

Not bad for $40 right?

In one of the pics you can see the small scratches I am talking about near the top of the band. They aren't in the broad surface but they are right at the edge of the gap.

that particular user had gaps because his watch is big and his wrists are not, hence it's bending way more than usual.

the third party gaps are of a different nature.

I honestly have no idea what you're talking about. o:

Are you saying he has too many links in the bracelet?

Well I don't know about his band or wrist size, but having owned both the genuine Apple link and now a third party link from Amazon, I can safely say that the gaps are the same for mine. The problem with mine is the silver underneath, but I literally never notice it unless I am actively looking for it. I'm much happier than I expected.

i'm saying a watch is supposed to be sized appropriately... when you look at the apple promotional material you see many links from a top down view : http://www.apple.com/hk/shop/buy-wa...l-link-bracelet?product=MJ482ZP/A&step=detail

with a metal link bracelet, there comes a point where if you add too much curvature, you will by design see these gaps. the thing dwarfs this guy's wrist and you can literally see only the second link. it's less a bracelet to him than a horseshoe.

Anyone got any pics of the moko space grey or black to direct compare to official apple?

Was hoping space grey was closer match as that bracelet looked nicer.
