I’ll have three or four Twitter notifications grouped and then another Twitter notification just hanging out by itself. Anyone else?

There is no setting for Mail to be grouped. That is the one that NEEDS to be grouped. Disappointing.

Also, no matter what setting I use for Facebook, they don't get grouped either, as a matter of fact, I get double notifications for Facebook now.

How? That option doesn't even show.....

You have to do it for each app you wanna use it for in the notifications settings among all the apps in there. I thought there’d be a universal way to do it but apparently not. I don’t even know why the automatic option even exists.
[doublepost=1537235913][/doublepost]Never mind. That didn’t work. Now they’re all separate by app. Crap.
[doublepost=1537236058][/doublepost]Ok, I did it right but it isn’t working.
[doublepost=1537236274][/doublepost]Ok. I think it was because I only had three Twitter notifications and none from other apps. Then I got a tips notification and it grouped the Twitter notifications.

I know that much, but Mail does NOT have that option in settings. Nowhere in Mail settings does it give you a choice of how to group the notifications.

Settings > Notifications > Mail > Notification Grouping > By App

I don't have that option.

Uhhh, no. See above.

Both my iPhone 5S and 6S are showing the same thing for Mail notifications. I haven't upgraded my X yet, so not sure if it's something that Apple removed?? Very odd.

If you’re wanting to group by different mailboxes, I don’t think you can. Just mail in general.

Only have one email account on each of those. Every email sends a separate notification. So, I still get a long list of emails. That's the one thing I was hoping would be grouped together.

Apple just can't seem to get notifications right - Android just does it much better.

Then switch to android so we can all move on with our lives.

You’re in the wrong place in the menu settings.

I am in Notifications>Mail

Where else should I be? Why would Mail be in another location than all of the other apps?
Based on your image it looks like you went to notifications then mail (correct) and then you clicked on a mailbox (wrong, I think). After you go to notifications then mail there should be an option at the bottom for grouped notifications.

Nope. I went to Settings>Notifications>Mail

There is no option for a mailbox -- There is no option for grouped notifications. Facebook is also the same way.

I think you’re in the right place regardless because the options end up being the same, whether you go to Notifications > Mail or Mail > Notifications. “Notification Grouping” should be at the bottom of either section, so it’s weird that it’s not listed.

It's not listed on either my 5S or 6S. The option is also missing for Facebook.

So weird.. I’m not trying to give you a hard time or anything, but are you sure that iOS 12 is installed & not just downloaded? The same thing happened when my wife’s phone was missing a feature in a previous version of iOS.
