Taste IS subjective, but bigs are not. But apparently they are now in the eyes of Apple. I'll direct everyone to John Grubers podcast where Craig said the reason people are experiencing more bug is because they use their phones for so many things.........
Sure, but you are connecting the two together, which isn't quite how it works.

But there are still some of us who want to hold Apple to the same standards they use to hold themselves to.

Sitting idle on your rocking chairs like old men and remembering the good ol' days isn't going to change anything. You want change? Stop buying Apple products and hit Apple where it hurts. Their bottom line.

Do you think Apple released 4.7" and 5.5" iPhones because people were complaining about it? No, people were actually leaving Apple and buying smartphones from other companies which was hurting Apple's bottom line.

Why is Apple re-releasing a 4" iPhone in next week's event? Because 1/3 of Apple's base is not buying the new iPhones because they don't like the larger screens.

As a publicly traded company Apple is always under pressure by investors to continue to show growth year after year. This is the driving factor behind some of the decisions Apple makes even though the words that come out of Tim Cook's mouth religiously are "we make great products".

Whilst i agree to an extent....what about the numerous sat nav apps and the fact Apple built sat nav options into their own Apple maps?

Surely its an issue if someone is using them and something pops up over the directions.

as @dwfaust pointed out above, something should not popup when directions are being given. The phone should be allowed to be used minimally by drivers, only for things like navigation; that too when the directions have been fed into it before you shift into "drive". (disable all other distractions at that time like icloud, notifications, etc).

How exactly to differentiate between driver vs passenger - there's no clear cut answer as yet, but some ideas I can think of from the top of my head: some kind of low power field which emanates from the steering wheel and encapsulates the space of the driver's seat. The phone can read this signal and disable almost all other functions. Or maybe a camera above the driver's seat which does object recognition and sends a ping to a nearby device.

While the car is being driven, phones should automatically transition to a "driving" state. You can program them to automatically change the voicemail to announce "I'm driving" or auto-reply to any incoming texts saying "driving, will reply later".

I was using driving a car as an example. I will get prompted up with a window telling me to put my password in for iCloud. It happens at any inconvenient time.

And let's be real here, everyone uses their phones on the road. Don't even say that you guys don't.

first of all, if you use a phone while driving and endanger others, you've no taste, in life. See, others can play that game too.

But on a serious note: If you're so realistic, can you be honest and tell me this: if given a legal document today, which states that if you ever find yourself or a dependent of yours in a situation where you're injured in an accident or your dependent is killed - and its proven in court that the accident was entirely the result of distracted driving by some driver on a mobile device, you will refuse to not only file a case, but even get any kind of damages. Secondly, if you're badly injured and need medical attention, you don't have any right to medical treatment, since you're "cool" with talking or texting or fiddling while driving. Are you prepared to be "real" and say that you will sign this? If so, I salute you. Most of us will not. If not, why not?

If people don't complain, then no one will know iOS has problems. If people think iOS is perfect , they'll blindly buy iphones and Apple's bottom line is not hurt one bit.

People find problems for themselves if they affect them, because hearing problems that someone else has doesn't really do much if people aren't experiencing it themselves or if those issues are trivial and inconsequential to them.

Clearly throwing around insults is the way to get your point across.

I didn't mean to insult anyone. I just have a hard on for design. Anyway, I don't think Apple intended to have the status bar stay on the music app when you're in the app switcher or in the player. Since, they don't show that on their website.

Okay, well there's a huge double standard on that. And I'm pretty sure the majority of people have and will still continue to do it.

Shame on those distracted drivers! Luckily mine is mounted to the dashboard, it's like playing with typical car dashboard except more efficient. Well, it's great to have half measures I guess. Or wa no

Throughout all these years, I've tried to avoid the realization that Apple's OS's are filled with bugs. It's getting frustrating. For someone like me, who has OCD, these bugs are getting worse and worse. They are the little things that bug me, and it seems like I'm the only one who notices these or goes through these predicaments.

I'm just admitting the truth and it's too bad I can't switch, as I'm too far into the whole ecosystem.
Invested too much time and money into this, just so it could 'just work'.
I understand that your mental health issues are making it it difficult for you to cope with some of the bugs, but the problem is that people always wanted more features ( like the jail breaking people),but having endless features added in a relatively short time will cause some problems for some time.
On a forum like this it is difficult to give advice on mental health issues, but I am sure there are self help groups in your area that will be of use to you. I wish you a speedy recovery!
