Today Apple released Catalina DP11 build 19A582a, it's the GM, and more:

061-26773 - BridgeOSUpdateCustomer - 428MB
061-26768 - macOS Catalina Developer Beta (Full Installer) - 19A582a - 9.13GB
061-26769 - macOS Catalina Beta (Delta) - 19A582a - 8.58GB
061-21530 - Security Update 2019-005 Sierra - 16G2136 - 937.2MB
061-21534 - Security Update 2019-005 High Sierra - 17G8037 - 1.88GB
061-21549 - macOS 10.14.6 Update (Combo) - 18G103 - 3.93GB
061-21553 - macOS 10.14.6 Update (Delta) - 18G103 - 2.61GB

Reissued 10.14.6 don't have any new firmware updates for non-BridgeOs Macs, Catalina DP11/GM has the same firmwares for non-BridgeOS Macs as DP10. Catalina DP11/GM has new firmwares compared with reissued 10.14.6.

Isn't it strange that the GM is still named 10.15 Beta in "About" window and the analytics data in the privacy setting is ticked automatically? Never had this behaviour with a GM before …

There are lot's of weird things with this GM, it's called DP11 with SUS for starter. I bet that the MAS version will be a new build.

I looked earlier at the releases page when I saw that SUS was calling it DP11 and the GM was not there yet, just Xcode 11.2.

After that, Apple updated the page and now it shows:

macOS Catalina 10.15 GM seed (19A582a)

Anyway, will be very un-Apple like to release it as GA and just one day after the GM, last week leak from the Danish Catalina page showed the release date as October 4. There is no time to find any show-stopper bugs.

No one should install Catalina now. Even for a test system on a secondary disk, it's a basket case. FCPx didn't even open with DP8, Xcode 11.2.b1 is crashing…

For me personally, Catalina is a way to keep MP5,1 getting "unofficial" updates after Mojave support ends and Xcode support after Apple stop it from running with 10.14. Most of the really interesting resources of 10.15 won't work with MP5,1 anyway, like Sidecar or HEIVC support everywhere.

Is this on a 5,1? I've had none of this issues on a supported Mac. Could it be specifically 5,1 related?

It's not MP5,1 related since I had the same issues with my supported rMBP and mini. Some people reported the same FCPx problem here on MR too. Xcode crashing when building are weird, infuriating and happens sporadically, devs are saying the same on ADC forum and Twitter, it's usually like this:

Code:
Crashed Thread: 4 Dispatch queue: XCBuild.XCBBuildOperation.buildOperationHandlerQueue

I have the same issues with Final Cut Pro on my MBP retina 2013, my Mac Pro 8 cores 3Ghz 2013 2x D700 and my MacBook Air Retina 2018... Xcode won’t even install on my MacBook Pro...

That's all really weird. I spend a lot of time in Xcode... No install issues on Catalina, no crashes in Xcode. Multiple MacBook Pros.

Xcode works on my Mac Pro 2013 and MacBook Air retina 2018 but even after I reinstalled my MacBook Pro 2013 once it crashed at the install... I ran TechTool and it didn’t find any problems with the SSD or memory... I really don’t know what’s going on... it was working well on 10.14.6 with the non developer version...

DP11 is great, firmware update coming with it killed my NMP, had to use hardware flasher to erase nvram args area, no other way helped http://netkas.org/?p=1488

Strange it even showed up. Holding off on installing on supported machines for a few point updates. Will see what happens with MP7,1 and its release date before I officially mess with MP5,1 and Catalina.

FYI, these are the publicly available builds via script:
