I love the comment they make about how many photos Pixel users take over that of iPhone users. Never mind they let you transfer photos from your camera, and still upload them free to their servers, as long as you transfer them directly from your phone. Wondering if they also count those as pixel photos!!

Also I am fairly confident that samsung phones and the iPhone 7 and newer use OIS and digital stabilization at the same time.

Regardless, the new XL is on my shopping list for sure ;) .

Thanks for the update, guys. I didn't realize it was on the store already.

Pre-ordered. Will ship mid-November. Bah! Better that than 2018.

SO STOKED!!!!!

If I can flip an iPhone X or two, might try to get one later. Right now, just don’t need to upgrade. Will be getting a few Home Minis for the house though.

I will have to re watch the event and see if there is Anything else I want. My son is being put in the bath as he’s being a little rascal this evening.

My reaction to the event:

Google software and AI is out-of-control impressive.

Google Home Mini, nice and affordable entry model. Makes sense for them.

Google Home Max, probably my favorite thing unveiled. I want one. Price is a hurdle...

Pixelbook, more impressive than I imagined it would be, but at $999, I'll stick to my MacBook for the full laptop experience. Impressive showing by Google still.

Pixel 2, with the 98 DXO score + continued service of unlimited Photo backups, it's still pretty impressive. Too bad about some of the drawbacks. I'm unlikely to get one.

Glad it's £799.00 in the UK and not an identical price mirror as the US like Apple do with their pricing.

It's showing as ships in 5-6 weeks. Is everyone getting the same timscales?

Be interesting to see when carriers get the Pixel 2, if they even will over here (UK).
