Official "Got my Core 2 Duo iMac" thread.

This morning my iMac arrived in Arnhem, about 1 hour driving from my house. As my iMac shipped Friday, my iMac arrived too fast! So decided to put it on a dusty shelf somewhere or eat their meal on it every evening, however they will not deliver it too me before November 1.

What a crazy phenomenon for a company which says one of its aims is to satisfy their customers. If I call to the customer service, they just say, no, we can not deliver it until November 1, because you ordered the cheap package.

Apple should really get rid of this ridiculous company.

Just picked up my 17' last night from the Apple store, took my iBook in for repair and walked out with this baby. I needed it for school so I haven't really had time to play around with it yet, i have midterms coming out of my ass, but this weekend, we're going to get some quality alone time lol.

One thing that just takes my breathe away is the screen its sooo bright. I wish this came with a remote though :(
 
Again, I received my second iMac, but again this ones screen also flashes/flickers after sleep and upon boot, so I'm returning it tomorrow again.

Well, I decided that this hole hassle is gonna cost me too much time so I'm returning it for money this time.

Guess I'm gonna jump onto the boat when the Core 16 Duo arrives :D
 
Well my computer just got to the sort facility in Tucson. They removed the "estimated delivery date" from the track screen. Jerks.
 
Just Got My Two Footer !!!

Well I just took delivery of my new Two Footer. CTOd w/ 2Gbs of Ram, 256 Nvidea, 500Gb HD and Wireless KB and Mouse. This is a newbie for the collection. However it is replacing my 17in G% which will be on Ebay by the weekend. My G4 imac, G3 iMac, G4 iBook and iPods are staying. Its weird I work around all these machines all day selling them and I realize the 2 footer is big. However now it is here and it seems HUGE! Still love it though and it runs like a BEAST! Some pics to hold you over until I take some more. You can also see my new iPod additions. Sold my 4th Gen iPod Photo and got 5.5G Video and also got a gift of the Green Nano, others are my Shuffle and my girls Mini.

Got my 24" yesterday - I'm in LOVE!!! I will post pics later - but it runs so quickly, it's a dream. The monitor is enormous, people flip when they come into my dorm room (everyone has the standard bottom line Dell PC, 17" LCD monitor etc...) it's pretty awesome :D - I still have the 1GB ram, but the video card upgrade was worth the wait. Running Doom3 on Ultimate quality, 1600x1200, rendering is near-perfect. Except near highly detailed objects like doors, I get no tearing and no lag - I'm extremely impressed, the video looks right outta the Xbox 360. Also 1080p videos from Apple, Jpopsuki look AMAZING! I transfered 22GB of music in 8 minutes - I'm SO glad Apple put FW800 back on these machines. I'm extremely pleased - also NO dead pixels, NO humming - NO PROBLEMS!
 
Could you please try a demo of Call of Duty 2 for me?

I am so happy for u, i still have to wait 3 weeks.....

Do you work for apple? I see your business cards on your desk, they look like my friends apple business cards that had when he was the apple rep at a local copusa store

I wouldnt go with out them. Your iPods will look alot better for alot longer. Also alot easier to grab and go and redock when I get home. We also have one for docking with the Xbox 360.
Well worth the investment, especially now since they made them so you can use any ipod on the one dock.

Not just that...but the AV kit makes it a snap to connect to an audio system.
 
The difference in spec between the 20" and the 17" is huge, 3" more display. 90Gb more HD .16 better processor. For me the HD and screen did it! But IDK about you? Just test the screens and feel which is better for your habits
