Hi thanks for adding me. I just bought an iPad Pro M2 12” and I’m getting used to iPadOS 16.1.1 and trying to get Hover to work consistently, especially in procreate 5.3. I reset all settings as others suggested, but it didn’t work. Hope to find an answer soon. Wren

Greetings All,
Coming from Windows here. Bought my first Mac and I'm thrilled with it so far. M1 Max Mac Studio - 1tb, is the only upgrade. I do mostly recording and mixing live church praise and worship events. Also, some photo and video editing. It simply blows away what I had. I tested it right after I got it with a 36 track - 45min. live recording, loaded down with the most cpu intensive plug ins I own (about 120 total). Then rendered in 32 bit, 48kHz .wav - just over 8 min. My windows machine couldn't even do that in real time, and it was no slouch, not to mention, it would sound like a jumbo jet taking off after a minute. A little bit of a learning curve coming from windows, but not bad at all. Starting to make a lot of sense. Thanks for all the great posts and advice. I've been reading. Merry Christmas to all.
Adam G.

Hi everyone, i am new to the forum and wish to connect with other OCLP users to learn more about OS patching.

This will be a bit of a test... Another of these threads started with good intentions... but was soon taken over by regulars.

Hi

Hello to everyone, I recently discovered this forum and I decided to subscribe.
I'm not new to Apple products, I use those daily since many years and I love them, I started with an iPhone and now I have basically the entire Apple ecosystem 😂.
Hello back. Same here. I used one of the first Macs in a journalism class in college in (dating myself here, oh well) 1995. Got my first Mac (the all-in-one with hard drive in the “dome” the screen was attached to) in 2002. All downhill from there. 😄 Glad to have found this “support system!”

So I apparently registered back in 2016 but never posted... which sounds 100% like a thing I'd do.

I've actually been lurking these forums for a looooong time. I worked Apple Retail from 2007-2010, and it was made _very_ clear we weren't allowed to engage in online Apple forums, *especially* MacRumors.

I haven't worked there in almost 13 years so, I'm overdue to say Hello!

Just wanted to say hi.

Welcome all!

Hi,

After reading a couple of topics on the forum I decided to register.
I'm using Macs since nearly 20 years for personal use and since 2 years for professional use.
I've started with an old good PowerBook G4 (still in running condition ).
For personal use, I'm currently using
  • a MacBook Pro early 2011 (13", 2.7 Ghz dual core i7, 16GB, 1TB SSD)
  • a Mac Pro 3.1 early 2008 (2 x 2.8 Ghz quad core Xeon, 32GB, 3TB HDs)
  • a Mac Pro 6.1 Late 2013 (3.7 Ghz quad core Xeon E5, 32GB, 1TB SSD)
Some old stuff but they do the work. I got the Mac Pro 6.1 few days ago.

Main usage for the MacBook Pro is the casual stuff (browsing, emails, ...) and some video editing (mainly around gaming). I'm not anymore using Final Cut because for what I need to do, iMovie is enough.
Mac Pros are here to run as media servers and to run some Linux virtual machines on Oracle VM VirtualBox.
Not to say, I have also some iPhones & iPads around.

Looking forward to find answers and contribute if I can.
That's it for now.

Hi, piano player at first then professional software developer because of "money needer" :)
First of all I love my wife and my family, respect and help peoples as much as I can: there are other values?
About my "Mac" :
Mac Pro 2009 with 2 processor Upgraded to 5.1 firmware.
48 GB RAM.
Nvidia Geforce GTX 680 2GB (firmware modified with MAC one).
Pcie NVME adapter with 1 TB NVME storage.
Pcie USB 3 adapter (4 USB-A port + 3 USB-C port).
Ventura with Opencore Legacy Patcher 0.6.1.
Fighting to find a way to work with external ASUS BT-400 bluetooth adapter...
And now I'm going to write a post about my ASUS BT-400 not working problem ;)

Hello All!

LONGTIME windows user. My personal computer went DOA a while ago and finally made the jump to an Apple (iMac mini, M2). Got it functioning (mostly) and look forward to learning more about it.
