'Official' New Member Thread: Welcome

Hey Guys, I'm Mike. I just registered for the forum today. There is a lot of great information here. Thanks for all of the helpful tips. Now if I could only figure out how to post a new thread. I cant find anything that has to do with my particular issue.

Real quick, I deleted all of my photos from all of my devices. (MBP, iPhone 4, and iPad 2) When I reorganized them and reimported them I have a BUNCH of empty files under Events in the normal photos app. Any help with this is appreciated. Thanks again

I'm pretty well versed with all iPhones, I definitely don't know every little thing but I do know enough to answer questions and help anyone out who may need it. Hi everyone! I was directed here by a kind member so I could come and introduce myself! I'm 22 and live in the Midwest with my husband and two devilish ferrets. I signed up here with the main purpose of looking for a case for my new ipad(3gen) which will be arriving in a few days (fingers crossed!)
Ive had the first gen iPad since 2010, and thought with all my hard work in college that I deserved an upgrade! My dear mother bought me the new one, under the condition I send her my old iPad. Petty sweet deal. So anyways, I think I'll really like it here and hopefully I won't pester anyone too much!

Hi! I ended up here after looking for some info on the Time Capsule that we have bought last week. Always have had some Apple devices around like the first iPod Shuffle and Nano first gen, iPod Classic but really have apple-ized our home in the recent years with an iPhone4, iPad1/2/new, Apple TV, 27" iMac, two 13" Macbook Airs and finally the already mentioned Time Capsule...

Seems like a very nice forum here!

Hello. Just joined today. I plan on buying a MBA in the next few weeks or so.
Currently the only Mac device I have is an iTouch 32 gig. I'm looking forward to the MBA and learning all I can.

I've been lurking in this forum for some time now and while I am a very excited soon to be owner of the next iPhone, I am here to try to familiarize myself with hacks and tips about it. What I noticed is that any mention of other platform seem to get downvoted quick. How arrogant are people here compared to other forums? I wouldn't be surprise if i get downvoted quick. Nonetheless, I look forward to becoming a part of the community! Guess we can't avoid the irrational fan boys eh?

EDIT. See? Less than 30 mins and a downvote. Looks like someone took an offense

I kinda notice there are som "mean fanboys" that completely ruins regular fanboys' image.

Some examples are people ingnoring my thread regarding my Windows laptop's broken battery and my other thread regarding updating my LG Android phone to Gingerbread.

But not all people in this site are like that, only some of them are like that, most of us can even be funny at times! :D

Thanks for welcoming me! I know not all of them are mean. But the ones here seem to be the most aggressive as far as my opinion goes, but this seems to be the most interactive forum anyway.

Why do you care about getting downvoted? You don't know who did it anyway. Most of the voters would never downvote anyone if the poster would know who they were.
 
Noobie Question: Where to post a question

Hi. I am new here and new to the world of Apple and Macintoshes. I am a freelance writer and my best friend just loaned me a mini for a writing project. I want to get a nice padded bag to protect the mini, the power supply, and probably have enough room for an iPad, a notebook, and other writer's stuff. Which forum or multiple forums should I go to, to post my questions. Thanks.:confused:

Hi Everyone - I'm another newbie to the site. I found it yesterday when I was googling for some ML information :) As you can see from my sig I'm a bit of a :apple: addict!

I'm a full-time mum and part-time MSc student, and my main hobby (when I get time :rolleyes: ) is photography.
