Hi everyone. I started using a Mac about a year ago, and I've been reading MacRumors since. I'm also a developer, and I'm hoping to get to know other Mac users as well as other developers. See you around.

Good afternoon all. I live in Australia (Sydney), have used iPhones for a number of years, and last Xmas I purchased the latest ipad.

Last week after a computer crash (unrepairable) I purchased my forts MacBook Pro. I am happy with it so far, but will be using this forum to ask questions and read others problems to help me understand and me able to use better, the MacBook Pro.

Hello everyone,

I live in central Spain with my wife and daughter, where I work as a teacher.

Love everything Apple and recently upgraded to a new shiny Macbook Pro, which is just awesome.

I look forward to contributing here, and hope I can be of some kind of help now and again!

Thanks for having me...

Santiago, Chile.
Introducing myself from Chile!

Hi!

I am Eva Thyssen, I'm 23 years old (24 in June), and I'm from Santiago de Chile.
I got a nice job a few weeks ago, so I bought a lovely MacBook Pro, mid 2012, 13". I have an old and trusty Dell Inspiron from 2009 too. I was a Windows user from 2001 until circa two weeks ago (I bought my MBP on May 10th). I spent a lot of years on Windows (Compaq, a crappy Acer and my awesome Dell) :p but I have always loved Macs.
I'm not new in this world anyways. I bought my first Apple product in my 20th birthday: my awesome iPod nano. Still working like new! :D (well, the earphones killed themselves. I still don't understand how it happened)

I'm a (trainee) software engineer, so I know a lot about computers and stuff...

My Mac transition has been awesome, I have no regrets about getting a Mac. I don't miss Windows, actually. Although I use a PC at work (we develop in Microsoft technologies -_- .NET and stuff).

Sorry about my English, I'm not a native speaker, so if you have some suggestions about my English usage, feel free to tell me! (and I can help you about your Spanish questions in back ;))

Newbie needs current advice on using my G5 Monitor with my PC

All posts are from 2006. Is it still true in 2014, that I can not use the awesome monitor that came with my G5 (Now dead) with my PC??? I believe I need a ADC female to connect to the monitor & convert to VGA connector that I can plug into my PC yes?

Also Newbie question... how to start a new posting thread on this question...
Thanks

Hi everybody. I've been lurking the forums for years, but finally decided to sign up. My first Mac was a late 2006 iMac, then got a mid 2010 MacBook Pro, and now have a Mac Pro in the mail. To be honest I've always had a soft spot for OS X Tiger. I also really loved the design of the Macs of that era. My first iPod was was 4th gen 20GB iPod, then an 80GB iPod color. I've also owned an iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 5.

Peace~

Whooop! Hello all!

Hi, another lurker here. I've been reading MR at least weekly for the last 12-18 months.

I have an iPad 3 and iPhone 5. I've been thinking of getting a MacBook Pro since forever, but just haven't pulled the trigger. I must be getting close to taking the safety off however, because I finally signed up here.

I can tell this is going to be expensive...

...but not as expensive as it could be since Apple does not offer what I want in my signature below. And why the hell not?

Hello Friends

Hello Friends, I am Mary, a stay home mom from California. I am new to this exciting forum and looking forward to meet new people and find some great money saving deals in this hard time. With 4 kids in the house, any awesome deal is always welcome. I have always used the traditional mail coupon methods for years for basic groceries and everyday stuff but this is actually my first time being on a forum like this to be with like minded friends who share the same mindset. Would love to hear back from you guys ! Thanks & Cheers - Mary :)
