Hi all,

My name is Roy, my home address is in the Netherlands but I'm not often there. I travel as much as possible for work and leisure and every time I bring my Apple stuff with me. As long as it's portable of course.

I'm an entrepreneur and work from behind my MacBook. Since 2016 I'm not bringing any photo gear with me because I take all my pictures with my iPhone and process them afterwards with cool apps.

So I like to share my experiences with you all! Feel free to ask :)

Roy

This will be a bit of a test... Another of these threads started with good intentions... but was soon taken over by regulars.

if you just joined MacRumors, reply and introduce yourself.

This is only for new Macrumors users... only users who registered within two months of the current date may reply...

Hi everyone!

Been a solid Mac user for over 30 years now. Wouldn't use anything else. Not really opinionated that's why I've not joined before, although I'm an avid reader of the forum. Now and again I've felt like commenting but didn't have the privileges. But now I have I may step out from the shadows and put in my twopence worth!

See you around!

Wanted to pop in and say WELCOME to all of our new members! :D So glad to have you guys and gals here!

Hello all! I just signed up here today after searching for a new iPhone forum. I am/was a long time member of iMore and their family of sites, but their sites have succumbed to the all mighty dollar and have been taken over by ADS and have pretty much become intolerable. So far I really like the clean and quick interface of Mac Rumors, also its organization. I hope to provide and gain some knowledge here.

A little background:
I've been using the iPhone since the 3GS and currently use the 7+. I've had Blackberries, Androids, Windows Phone, and even the Palm Pre back in the day before Leo A sold webOS, but I just bought an LG webOS tv and it's sweet. I like to tinker with Android, but use an iPhone as my daily driver. I do freelance graphics/websites and have many I.T. certifications.

Dropping in to say hey to all, Ive been a long time shadow lurker who just never joined, I hope to be very active here and learn and hopefully teach someone who is new as well. Im not new to Apple by any means just new here. Looking forward to meeting y'all and hopefully built some new friendships. Thanks in advance for having me around!

Why does the MacRumors Forum keep forgetting that I have been a member for 12 years and instead treats me as a "newbie" ?

Hi, Klaus here from Finland. Using MacBook Pro retina 15 (2016) with macOS. Been here already for a few months, thus far mainly looking for ideas from the 'Post your Mac setup' -thread :)

Greetings and salutations to all.

My name is Lee and I found out about this site from links on other sites, those that I've interacted with on Tapatalk, and over at iMore. I was a long time Android user (10-ish years) and in April 2016 my wife got me to try an iOS device (original iPad) and I liked it immediately. So a few weeks later I had an iPhone 6S Plus, Apple Watch and iPad Pro. I've recently "traded up" and got the iPhone 7 Plus and my son got my 6S Plus (he had a 6) and also picked up an new Apple TV.

Professionally I'm a network administrator and pro A/V integrator. When I'm not breaking servers I'm installing large screen monitors, video walls and interactive displays and equipment and make Apple devices work with these items.

Anyway, thought I'd finally register and introduce myself since I've been lurking around here for a while as a visitor.
