the AP app and AIM apps that were used for testing were beta versions. They probably won't be public yet.

I think most of th apps that have push won't be able till tomorrow.. I mean think about it. Apple has to have something else to add once the new phone comes out

I would think if anything a good chunk of the apps should be out sometime today so when the new iphone owners get their phones the push can be utilized and ready to go as advertised. It would make sense that some of the push heavy apps be released sooner then later because apple can get a feel of the strain the current iphone owners will put on the system while using the push apps. If they have issues they hopefully could be ironed out before tomorrow.

I FINALLY got a push from AP News. It made a sound I'd never heard before..

I just got my first push a few minutes ago from AP News. I had the app for almost 24 hours without a "push". I was almost ready to give up on it. However i guess it is nice that it wont be blowing up my phone all day and night. I think its cool all the push apps will have different sounds for different kinds of messages.

I got mine at 10:32 also. Kind of cool that the system seems to have been pretty agile once the push was sent on AP's end. I would imagine that this piece of news actually happened at 10:18 am and that it took a few minutes to write, proofread and "hit the send button" on this push, so maybe the delay between when it was sent and received was minimal. It seems to make sense if we all got it at 10:32

any new apps with push? im loving heyWAY, me and my friend just keep sending each other our locations and request for locations.

24 hours later. apple got anything else out the door? im taking quite a hit on battery life leaving push on,so i want to at least get some decent use out of it.

You're not taking a "hit" at all. Do you understand how Push works? It doesn't use any of your battery life until a push actually happens. if you have had any apps push something to your phone, then you've had no loss of battery life.

Says Apple. The benchmarks (all of them, do one yourself) shows that you do indeed lose battery life when push is turned on.
