I bought s3 back in November after having an iPhone since 2008 and now I own a s4.

I am NOT moving back to iPhone even though I like the iOS and the apps. My wife's iPhone 4S seems like a toy now. It is just silly to try to do anything in a 3.5 screen.

5 inches FTW.

This wasn't the case for me. I sold a Samsung Galaxy S3 in favour of the smaller iPhone 5. One of the reasons was to have a smaller phone in general. :)

Did the same exact thing. I just prefer iOS over Android, shoot me.

I go back and forth between my 4S and my Nexus 4. I think I prefer the 4S though just because I think the apps are better. Same reason I prefer my iPad Mini over my Nexus 7.

Absolutely agree, love the 5" screen on my S4, can't imagine go back to a smaller screen.
FOR MY TASTE a 4" screen is a joke.

its true. once you browse web on a bigger screen, or do some occasional reading or watch videos, its hard going back to small screen. i thought 4" was good enough but when i tried Galaxy Note, i saw the difference.

having said that, everyone is different. and galaxy note size 5.5" IS MY limit. its still manageable still fits pocket and hand.

Agree and disagree. I've made the transition from 3" all the way up to 5.5" over the years but have used 3 different devices with 4.6-4.7" screens and this is where I seem to alwasy come back. I wouldn't choose to go back down to 4" but also find over 5" too large.

your right... i used to have a iphone, but then i saw the note 1, that thng was huge, i went for it, the iphone felt so small, it was pathetic, even the s3 and one x felt too small, i decided to stay with the note family, today i have the nte 2 and i'm deciding to go even bigger with the sony xperia z ultra.

Yep, bought the 5g ipod touch to replace my 2g. Despite the fact that it was quite a big upgrade on my previous device, the first thing that hit me was that the screen was too small. Coupled with the annoyance of many apps not being optimized to take advantage of the new screen size, my galaxy nexus has made it so its been relegated to being used as a music player and little more.

When i upgrade my phone there is no way i'm going smaller.

for texting i prefer my 4.0 iPhone 5 screen because the 4.7 screen of my nexus 4 gives me cramps in my fingers after while. literally

but i prefer the nexus for surfing and such, obviously

Same issue here. I always do things one handed and have rather short fingers. Anything above the size of the galaxy nexus is too big.

I've been with a Galaxy S3, and Nexus 4 for the past year, and I might go back to the next iPhone. There are just certain circumstances where having a massive phone just doesn't make sense.

note owners. do you find the phone is a good size to substitute for a small tablet? i was going to buy a nexus 7, but the large bezel really made it uncomfortable to hold in portrait - my preferred browsing size. i have a kindle paperwhite, and i love that size for books and news. the screen sizes look similar (i'll have to double-check though).

I used a Note 8 and the S Pen was very good for scrolling through pages of the Internet, plus the other uses for the pen.

I've found that people that do not 1) carry a purse or murse or 2) still wear cargo shorts tend to prefer phones that are smaller and actually fit well in a pocket.

Can a note 2 substituent for a ipad mini? I just do reading on my ipad mini.

I agree with this, I have a Galaxy S4 and any phone I use that is smaller, like the iPhone just feels tiny and to small. can't see myself going back.

I have the galaxy note. When I first got it I thought I would use it as a tablet but after getting used to the size I still found it on the small size. Now it just feels like a big phone. I've since bought an iPad mini and samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1

Apple needs to return to its roots. By offering a 3.5" display they could really prove their power over the masses who worship them.

There's little difference since Apples version of a 4" was to lengthen the display but limit its width to the same as the 3.5. It worked too, look how many were tricked into boasting about it and singing Apples praises as a huge sector of faith based Apple lovers do.

Then they'd stop whining & trashing the larger choices that go against Apples beliefs. All would be well in the garden of Apple.

I'm really enjoying my GS4's 5" screen, and it's going to be hard for Apple to get me back into a new phone with a 4" screen.

I'll keep my iPhone 5, but I expect Apple to push up to at least 4.25" with a bigger and wider display before I consider going back and iPhone unless there is some utterly amazing new must have killer feature.

Ideally, I would prefer Apple to launch an iPhone with a 4.5" display.

Lol, even Apple realized that 3.5" are too small.

It's funny - there are still some people who prefer the 3.5" size. Hey - who are we to judge?

I'm looking forward to options as it pertains to screen size. Just the two (4" and 4.7"-ish) - we don't need added fragmentation or muddying of the product line.

Personally, there are times when I really like and want to pick up my HTC One and use the larger screen, and others where I truly do like the iPhone 5 screen size.

Not that I would get both iPhones....just saying the 4" form factor is still appealing to many.

I don't have much headroom to go bigger now.. Even using the Nexus 4 seems tiny now that I use the Mega. I didn't ever think the Nexus 4 would feel insignificant before but it does.

I can see myself sticking with 5.8/6.5 inch screened handsets going forward.
