Sticking with the pixel.

OP7 Pro is going to a relative
The pixel for sale is from that
same relative

My family relies on me as their tech resource to buy, sell, advise etc.

Sticking with the pixel until we see iPhone 11/pixel 4.

100%....ok maybe 90% as my tech addiction is bad. :)
Fair enough. I might be interested in that pixel. When the warranty up?

I would absolutely take and recommend the one plus 7 pro over a Galaxy S10 plus any day of the week even if the S10+ was cheaper I'd still take the 7 pro in a heartbeat .

Lagwiz blows compared to stock Android, especially the souped up version of oxygen OS on OnePlus phones, it's easily the smoothest silkiest performing UI on Android

And Samsung phones ship with so much bloatware, and duplicate apps, and stupid apps you can't even delete.

And software updates with Samsung? Hahaha LOL.

I can't think of one good reason why I would ever take a Samsung Galaxy S phone over a OnePlus or Pixel?

As soon as I saw "lagwiz" I stopped paying attention.

This is one of those stereotypes that Android users will just not let go of for some reason, in spite of the fact that touchwiz isn't even their UI anymore and that touchwiz was been pretty damn good for about the last 3 years. Besides the OP close to stock UI, the One UI of Samsung is easily the next best option and easily the most feature rich.

As for people preferring the OP7, I totally get it. I'm a die-hard Pixel user that was forced to Samsung by how bad the Pixel 3 was. So I understand the love for a close to stock UI with frequent updates. But I just think if you compare them head to head, the S10 Plus is a better device. Most of the professional reviewers agree. Even though some say the OP7 is the best Android phone right now, they say it with the caveat that's it's price makes the value unbelievable. But when price is a wash, the S10 is better.

I had a Galaxy S8+ that was laggy as soon as I took it out of the box. Every demo S10 I’ve tried has been laggy, unlike the demo 7 Pros. I was shocked.

Demos are almost always laggy. It's relatively untested bloat software on a phone that has likely been running for days with the screen on the entire time. It's made to be flashy, not good.

Yet, the 7 Pro models never lagged. I checked out those S10s *the morning* they put out the new models for the first time. I haven’t experienced one Galaxy phone that didn’t lag.

I find that's an extreme exaggeration unless you haven't owned a recent Galaxy device. I've owned a lot of phones, among them the S8 plus, Note 8, and currently a S10 plus. None of those phone showed any lag. My S10 plus runs circles around my Pixel 3 XL in terms of speed and smoothness.

Blah, blah, blah LOL

TouchWiz or One UI, meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Can't put lipstick on a pig.

I've owned several Galaxy phones over the years, last one being being the S8+ and yes it had microstutters, and slight hiccups, and little lag here and there once awhile.

I expect my smartphone to have ZERO lag, not even 1/10th of a second hiccup ever, never once.

So my only option is a OnePlus or Pixel

Like I wrote: I owned an S8+ and it lagged like crazy right out of the box. It was one of the main reasons why I sold it.

Then you must've never owned the current Pixel. Because I've owned one and several friends have as well and we all ran into issues with lag.

My current daily driver is the Pixel 3 XL, bought in October, and t's been amazing. Smooth as butter, warp speed fast, just a joy to use.

But the OP 7P is on a whole nother level of fast and smooth. Off the charts quick.

Well, no need to continue this then. Between the S10 and the Pixel 3 one has a documented history of lag, aggressive background management, and slow opening apps. The other doesn't.

Is it true the OnePlus 7 pro doesn't have AOD always on display?

Google's pixel phones have had that for a while now and I just assumed one plus would have added that a year or two ago already.

What's the deal?

that's correct. Quite a bummer. The OnePlus 6 launched with an AOD but OnePlus had a day one update that removed it "for battery concerns". I really wish they'd implement AOD again.

They say they are working on a way to include it again but who knows how long that'll take.

Yup its true. I would include it and then make it an option to turn it off or on and let the user decide if its a battery concern.

I'm so used to AOD on my Pixel phones the last couple years don't think I could go to phone that doesn't have it.

To me without always on display it looks like the phone is turned off. Or the least have LED notification light

I'm a T-Mobile user, was wondering if any special deals going? I thought at one time they'd take an old OnePlus phone as a trade in for a discount towards a new OnePlus ?

I still have my original OnePlus One

My cousin who I sold my OP7Pro too is not keen on it and wants to go to a 3A.

I may have one for sale again soon. She is as indecisive as me :(
