I never agree with this user, but I agree with him/her here.

Same. Unless you’re a diehard fan of the Samsung ecosystem, I don’t see a compelling reason either. From everything I’ve seen and read, the OP display is every bit as good or better, in an area that Samsung typically trounces the competition, the in display FP senator is light years ahead, there is no notch or hole punch and the software experience is arguably much cleaner with quicker/smoother performance. No wireless charging, no waterproof/dust 'certification' and a likely slightly worse camera experience appear to be the most significant differences, but all for less money. And as @Tig Bitties mentioned, you'll get much better software update support from OP.

And with OnePlus selling on a U.S. Carrier T-Mobile, and thier phones getting really good lately. Could we see them becoming bigger in a few years then we ever thought ?

A few years ago, OnePlus was the niche ultra geek phone only, that you bought just from the website with an "invite" LOL . And nobody heard of them .

Fast forward from 2014 for the OnePlus One, to 2019's OnePlus 7 Pro, they've come further along than I expected. I could see them giving HTC, Motorola, and maybe LG a run for their money in the Android game.

I'd take the 7 Pro over S10+ based on the no hole punch/notch screen alone. That's a big one in my book. I've also had a positive experience with OxygenOS on my 6T.

Sadly not interested in either as they both have curved screens.

How has OnePlus been with updates overall? Been awhile since I owned one. Like the Android Q beta that's been out, do they get those too ? Or let's say Android Q is officially released in August, when would the 7 Pro get it? Couple months later?

I wonder if the Pixel 4 will have that 90 htz screen?

Actually I'm a bit concerned that the 4 will only have 4gb of ram again. Google seems to be taking the apple approach nowadays :(

If they keep doing it, then I suspect pixel users are going to be come more OP users. And that may be okay. Heck OP seems to be more developer friendly then Google is now.

How soon do we think we'll see a OP 7t?

^ Speaking of OP7t, it looks like the pattern points to November.

November seems like a smarter time for me to purchase anyway, since I'll get a fresh look at Apple's offering for the next year, and be able to see what I will (or won't) be missing.

They released Q beta 2 for the 7/7 Pro last week. With the OP6 Pie was released 6 weeks or so after it was released by Google. OP 6/6T and 7/7 Pro are certified Q beta devices. OP is very good with updates, there have been several since the 7 Pro launched.

Same. I’m thinking of getting a new phone on Black Friday. I’m hoping OP makes bands available for Verizon.

I love iOS 13 on the iPad, but I’m a bit disappointed with it on the iPhone and I’m not too keen on spending $1,200+ on a phone or settling for an iPhone with a small screen because it’s cheaper.

Good call, Black Friday should be perfect. Let's see what kind of deals we can find (I'm on Verizon too).

OnePlus is the only Android phone I'd use if I were to switch from iPhone. It's the best bang for your buck (IMO) and feels like the most fluent version of Android with OxygenOS.

You talking about LTE bands for Verizon? The 7 Pro works just fine for me on Verizon (no CDMA support, no problem for me). Sorry if I misunderstood.

LTE: Supports 5xCA, 64QAM, 256QAM & 4x4 MIMO,
up to DL CAT16 (1Gbps)/UL CAT13 (150 Mbps) depending on carrier support

NA/EU: FDD LTE: Band 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/13/17/18/19/20/25/26/28/29/30/32/66/71
TDD LTE: Band 34/38/39/40/41/46
TD-SCDMA: Band 34/39
UMTS(WCDMA): Band 1/2/4/5/8/9/19
CDMA: BC0/BC1GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz

Yeah the new iPhones coming in a couple of months do like really cool but *** me the prices of them are outrageous. Pretty much double the price of the OnePlus 7 Pro is insane.

I'm so tempted to pick up a 7 Pro, everything else I love about the phone except the curved edge screen never been a fan of that .
[doublepost=1561573776][/doublepost]The funny thing is the 7 pro being the cheapest Android flagship it actually performs the fastest smoothest and silkiest UI .

The $1,000 plus Samsung Galaxy phones aren't as smooth and even Google's baby pixel 3 XL isn't as silky fast

Curious what phone will remain as your keeper everyday phone?

my opinion the only two phones worth having in 2019 so far is the OnePlus 7 pro and pixel 3 XL .I can't think of any other phone I would take besides those two right now.

I too have the Pixel 3 XL, very satisfied with it.

Why keep an iPhone though? A lot of my family and friends are on iOS too, but I would never downgrade to an iPhone. Zero reason for me to ever want or use a iPhone.

I can communicate just fine with them Android to iPhone no issue.

I like the flexibility of both operating systems and checking out what's new on each as their updates roll out. I want to go play with ios13 now as that comes out and explore.

I have way too many phones at this point though with a OP7 Pro, Pixel, iPhone.

Understood thank you .yeah I could see having just two phones the best of Android which would be Google's very own Pixel phone . not saying it's the number one top best Android phone but it is Google's very own the way they meant stock Android to be .

And yeah having the latest iPhone I guess would be cool just to see the other side I suppose

iOS 13 has some new welcome features, like a swipe keyboard (which Android has had for years), dark mode, automation in Shortcuts, and a smaller volume indicator (haha), but iOS still feels stale and dated.

Those are nice welcomed features and much wanted. But to me Apple needs more of that, there's still other features I expect at this point in iOS that seems to take forever to get there or revised. Like Apple's at a snail's pace on updating new features or changes.

But whatever, obviously millions of people love it, so who am I to complain.

What phone are you planning to use? I see you’re selling your pixel and potentially already sold the OnePlus. That’s a big 180 after gushing about those two phones ;)

Sticking with the pixel.

OP7 Pro is going to a relative
The pixel for sale is from that
same relative

My family relies on me as their tech resource to buy, sell, advise etc.

Sticking with the pixel until we see iPhone 11/pixel 4.

100%....ok maybe 90% as my tech addiction is bad. :)
