Tired of this curved screen trend.

Its as bad as the curved TV fad that died a quick, painful death.

Agreed. I have enough false touches on my Pixel 3 XL when reaching across the screen, can imagine how often I would do the same on this or a Galaxy. And I hate the distortion/glare at the edges.

Official OnePlus 7 Pro product videos pop up hours before announcement

The more I see it, the more I want it. Just having trouble justifying buying a second phone to my iPhone XS. The iPhone will always be my primary so the OP would be relegated to a back up phone/mess around phone at home which seems like such a waste of money. Urgh, I want it but I know its not a smart use of money.

stunning, if you're interested in a Oneplus phone it's definitely the one to buy. Might swap my iPhone X for it.

Now unveil the 7 Pro F with a flat screen and I'll sign up for a lifetime subscription to their phones ;)

BTW did I just see the same gaudy on screen fingerprint animation as on the 6T??

I love the display. I hope Apple does something similar, if not better.

This is the most powerful cell phone this year period, budget should fit every pocket, other device makers would charge over $2000 if not more.

Looks like an awesome phone, I'd be interested if it wasnt for the battery life struggle and lack of wireless charging.

Agree that it’s a pretty superb overall device. For me personally though, the curved display is still a deal breaker. And I think I’d still lean towards the Pixel for camera quality (if initial impressions of the camera prove to be true). Water/dust resistance certification is also now table stakes, IMO. Living in Florida, that stuff matters for me.

Still, if I had to choose between this and a Galaxy device, this would win out.

Come on, $2k or more is a massive over exaggeration.

The price of the phone for what you get is pretty impressive. The camera might be a little lacking for some (it probably is for me) but still good enough for most and that screen looks superb. I’d be very tempted to get one but not ready to give up the outstanding battery of my P30 Pro yet!

Curved glass and no wireless charging makes it a no for me. How can they possibly not have wireless charging in this day and age????

I also HATE curved displays and the reflection it causes when watching videos and the feel in the hand for me.

Personal items but other then those 2, its compelling for sure. Pixel 4 wait begins...

Not a fan of the curved glass. Wait so this phone also comes with a fast charger for your car too? I watched a open box and there was the earbud, wall charger and also a fast charger for the car.

Don't wanna tempt you, but you'll probably be able to get it for half in 6 months though :p Right after buying my 6T at full price about 3 months after release, they started going mint condition or even new in box for about half the price, and lots of 'em. Everyone was scrambling to get the S10 at that time I guess, but I'm guessing the story will repeat itself when the new iPhones, Note 10 and Pixel 4 get released.

I think I'm skipping this one... Though I like how I can (or could) stay rooted and take OTA updates pretty easy, problem is, my 6 has been collecting dust for the past few months. Have not even plugged it in.

Edit:
Not a 100% hard pass... o_O:rolleyes:

Loving the design of the OnePlus 7 Pro, but it does seem a little hampered.

Pity about the lack of IP68 Water and Dust Resistance, as well as no Fast Wireless Charging. I was also expecting more than 30W Warp Charging.

With a huge 6.67inch WQHD+ Display at 90Hz I wonder how well it will manage with that 4000mAh battery? Think they should have followed the Galaxy S10 5G and gone with 4500mAh on this one, with those Display specs.

SOT for this phone is about 4 hours to 4 1/2 hours max....The 90Hz is what kills the battery life, 4500mAh is huge and I dont think anyone right now has that size of a battery.
