Since i have no luck selling my XS Max, I can get $700 from OnePlus on a trade in which is pretty damn good.

It goes against my curved screen/no wireless charging but every video i have watched from the "Pros" are raving about this device. Compelling...

This is exactly it. I have wireless charges at my house in multiple spots, my desk and the biggest one for me is my car which is an awesome feature.

Its all about convenience and I dont charge my phone any other way so it would require me replacing all of those wireless options with wired/new equipment.

Could I last a full 24 hours without charging, probably but I love the flexibility and having my phone topped off in convenient locations.

Very personal preference but its my preference. :)
Yeah, one place I would actually use it is in my car. Since i am in and out a lot and would be convenient on long drives where i need to use GPS.

I guess once you get use to something it's hard to go back as well.

Has anyone traded in with OnePlus before?

Offers seems to good to be true but if I take pics of the device and send in mint condition as it is I cant see a downfall in giving this a whirl. Outside of selling myself which I have had no luck.

I may be swayed here.

The 7 looks awesome but Oneplus price keeps on creeping up and they will be the flagship that they were out to kill. And it is always something lacking, the no ip68 rating is unfortunate

I'm sure to avoid that issue, they'll adopt the "lite" model like everyone else is doing

I am wondering if TMobile will have some in stock on Friday to check and make a decision then. I love the trade in number given by OP directly though.

Wow..this could be the best camera ever on a OnePlus phone...

View attachment 837171

I now really can’t invest much in the validity of DXOMark at this point. I read somewhere that they tend to give uneven weighting to phones with multiple lens and it seems to show. Compare this table to the general consensus among reviews (and I realize reviewers may tend to be more subjective) and there seems to be a disconnect. The Galaxy S10 climbs pretty high up the chart but in photo comparison, most seem to still favor the Pixel or often even the iPhone. And every early impression or review I’ve seen of the OnePlus 7 Pro, while acknowledging that the camera performance is improved from previous iterations, are generally not impressed at all with the photo or video quality.

It just seems like DXO seems to weight quantity a bit over quality (i.e. more lens=better).

I’m passing on this phone. I think it’s going to be the phone of the year IF you don’t look for the best camera in class. The price is going up, but OnePlus have told people all along that was the plan. It’s hard to be a no name company from China who has zero storefront presence and command top dollar. They have built up their reputation and made a bunch of good phones. Now they’re trying to compete with Apple, Google, Lg and Samsung. Huawei and Xiaomi too, but that’s more on a global level.

Two things that are negative for me. The 6.4" screen is too big. I don't want a monster in my pocket and no headphone jack. Sure It comes with semi wireless buds.... But I don't care for those style Buds. I want NO wires at all for wireless buds and half of the time I use wired headphones that need a jack. I have wireless buds and over ear wireless headphones but I want that option to use wired as well.

Hope this phone creates a domino effect in the industry, starting with stealing a lot of Samsung’s/Google’s market share...which may force them to lower RRP, & then make Apple think twice about retaining current pricing...

Yeah, I’m dreaming...

Apple isn't going to lower their prices. They were expensive before they even got popular, well before the iPhone came out. Didn't change then, won't change now.

Prices sure won't go down.
I read that with the Trump tax on China goods, that Apple products may go up as much as 15% in price, lol!

It comes with wired buds I believe. The Bluetooth ones are $99.

Have a friend that is holding one at TMobile for me today so I am excited to get my first OP since the original that came out at $300 or whatever waaaaaaaaaay back in the day.

That screen is just too mesmerizing not to take a shot at it. Plus the overall glowing reviews on every single platform is very impressive.

Ordered my One Plus 7 Pro 6/256 model in Nebula Blue along with a pair of Bullets Wireless 2 earbuds. It should arrive by next Wednesday.

As an FYI - I read on reddit the T-Mobile models don't come with the screen protector pre-installed for some odd reason.

I will take a look at the Pro later today but I got the 6T as an absolute steal from t-mobile trading in a v20. I ran the heck out the door before being arrested for grand larceny.

I am getting bill credits, no way to swing for the Pro.

Has anyone ever gotten the AppleCare equivalent for their OP? Is it worth it?

I have one held at TMobile but now I am hearing TMobile gets slower updates then an unlocked one? Anyone have experience there?

Just picked mine up from TMobile and all I can say is WOW.

We are all super tech phone nerds here and go through phones like water but I havent been impressed by a phone from that WOW factor in quite some time until I got my hands on this.

This screen is unbelievable. The vibrancy, the seamless display with no notches, cutouts, and the accuracy vaults it to one of the best out there right now if not the best.

The curved screen is very noticeable but it somehow makes it feel smaller? It feels excellent in the hand but will no doubt put a case on this one (I usually dont use cases on my phones unless outdoor activities, pool, etc).

That refresh rate is something the videos dont do it justice on. I have messed with the iPad Pros but on a smaller device it feels different. Like you are almost picking up the apps up and websites with your fingers it is so damn fluid. Plus everything is so snappy and fast! Like instantaneous. Shocking really coming from ios.

Beware, the Mirror Gray is not matte like the Nebula blue. I didn't want the blue anyways as I will put a case and the color doesnt matter but just a heads up to anyone.

JOD with TMobile makes this too easy. I will be officially putting my sim card in it within a few hours and go from there but after playing with it in the store for about 30-45 minutes I am beyond impressed.

I am a hardcore iOS guy through and through and this is my first Android flagship in over 3 or 4 years and I am shocked just how good it feels. Now we will see in day to day...

And dont forget...that price?!?!? Unreal for what you get.

Ok, done gushing for now. Just wanted to share with others who may be on the fence or waiting for theirs. :)

I played with the 7 today at T-Mobile. What a buttery smooth phone. It feels so much smoother than the Pixel 3XL and the S10 that were on display. It’s the first Android that has really impressed me.

I'm also officially in.
After 12 years of iPhones starting with the original day 1 iPhone, I'm out.
Just simply can't stand Cook and his Apple, but wasn't able to find anything to switch to...
until now. OnePlus 7 Pro is crazy amazing.
Seems like everything is fine, converting the contacts etc works.
The only question - are you guys able to somehow save/backup your iMessages?
I don't care about the future use, I'm using Viber/Telegram, but would like to save
my old iMessages somehow. Are they kept in my Mac even when I uncheck iMessages on my iPhone?
