Glad I went with the global Find X9 Pro 16/512 instead. Tax, etc., was included in the price of $1200 U.S. The 16/512 OP15 is $1000 plus tax, which for me comes out to $1101. And I actually have my phone in hand, no idea when this thing will actually be available. Regardless of how I feel about this phone, few things infuriate me more in the world of tech than paper launches. This phone should be available now or next week. Otherwise, don't "launch."

I am excited to read some in person reviews from anyone get the OnePlus 15. It really seems to be a beast of a phone. I watched MKBHDs review and I am really impressed. His comments on the camera are concerning though.
I still think this phone is in the running for Android phone of the year!

Yeah the Oppo seems more the all round flagship. The OP15 seems more like a gaming specific phone.

Yeah, I was getting more and more excited for this phone as the review went on, until of course his comments on the camera. 😩

One Plus cameras have never been great but these seem like a massive step backwards--think he said it’s the same as what's found in a $200 Honor phone?

I don't need the absolute best--proof being that I'm using a Pixel 10 Pro Fold but a phone that's as much of a beast performer in every other capacity having budget phone level cameras? Come on One Plus...

I agree with MKBHD's final comment--an 'Ultra' version of this phone with top spec cameras would be amazing.

I think it’s a very deliberate move to stop it competing with the Oppo. It’s the same way that phone even in gaming mode is still capped to 60fps unlike this phone.

I seen a YouTube video stating just that, can't remember who it was, it was an Indian review though. Basically the Oneplus 15 is more of a gaming phone and the Oppo the better camera phone.

Unfortunately it does not have thermals to keep up with the chip. Runs very hot and crashes benchmarking apps. It's going to be a beast for gaming still, but this is not good.

Yeah I think it's going to do well for the most part actually probably be great, as they stated on the video this is a little bit extreme but it does prove that it does crash while others make it till last stage.

I got a decent deal on the OP15:

Might have just been an issue with Android Authority's review unit. Android Police got it to crash once, but it took some effort.

Battery life seems enticing. But I think I going to keep the OP13, as it already has great battery life and performance.

TBH if it was going to go for the class of phone I might go for the Oppo and not this as camera is more important to be than gaming.

My S22 Ultra screen broke recently in a freak fall, so I went back to using a Huawei P30 Pro I had in a drawer to tide me over till I picked a replacement- it's surprisingly usable still.

So anyway, I took the plunge and bought a OP15 with free watch and cheap case. Looking forward to receiving it. The camera reviews concerned me, but even if it's not best in class, it can still take good pics, and they're only a short edit away from being very nice. I'm used to not having best in class - I use Micro Four Thirds cameras😀.
