It should. It has bands 66 and 71 which none of the other Chinese phones have and are sorely missing from those phones. I reserved one at my local Best Buy just to reserve one so I can read a bit more on it, but it looks like a great device.
I've seen mixed reviews on the cameras. MKBHD says they're just ok but I've seen some folks on Twitter absolutely gawking over them.

What colour are people going for as I wonder if the Midnight Ocean version with Vegan Leather will have improved grip?

I've probably seen the same "reviews" you have so far. I'm on the fence whether to sell my Pixel for it. I know I'll like the S25+ but will get tired of it quickly, tired of same old same old from the Big 3. If the OP13 delivers (specifically battery life and screen) I'd prefer to go with it. It is ridiculous that no phones from the Big 3 support AptX HD or Adaptive. Been a sore spot for me for several years.

Thats issue these days MKBHD just isn't a camera guy. He never goes into depth about cameras. I don't think his knowledge on photography is as strong as others. That said who knows on X if people are just engagement baiting to get good reactions but one plus 13 does look strong.

So true. Some of the love for the camera is a bit over the top like BEST CAMERA EVER.

OnePlus 13 review: The best Android phone you can stick in a dishwasher

Some pretty high praise...

"I've used a lot of devices in the 14 years I've been reviewing Android phones, but I haven't been able to consider one "perfect" until the OnePlus 13 came along. The OnePlus 13 does it all, from brilliant build quality and an eye-catching design, the first to achieve IP69 water and dust resistance, the fastest processor in any phone on the market, an incredible eye-friendly OLED with the industry's first Display Mate A++ rating, a giant battery with epically fast charging, Oxygen OS 15's amazing features, six years of software updates, and a camera that finally competes with (and often beats) Pixel and Samsung Galaxy phones."

Not yet. I’m waiting to see what the S25 lineup has to offer. Though I was sorely tempted to order one.
Similar boat here although it’s always the Plus model for me. Comparing the S25+ with OP13 seems like a slam dunk for the OP13. More interested to see how it compares to the Pixel. On paper there’s no contest, but the Pixel is unique in its own right.

Being as I’ve owned a OnePlus 6 for getting on for six and half years, and it’s only really started to show its age hardware wise in the last year or so I’ve got a very high regard for the brand.

Decided to pick it up last night at Best Buy, really nice phone. Way too early to decide how it fares against the iPhone and Pixel. I took some photos just sitting at my desk at home, all photos were set to 20x zoom, didn't adjust any other setting as I just wanted to point and shoot.

I'm by no means a photographer, ha. Based on these images all three are great. I think the Pixel overall is the best of the three. In the red shoes look at the details of the windmill, birds, and separation of colors as the white transitions to blue. Pixel wins this one for me. The OnePlus is bad, loss of detail around the windmill.

The street sign photos, I'd rank them OnePlus, Pixel, and iPhone. The OnePlus is almost too sharp, the branches and surrounding grass are very clear and detailed. Pixel is pretty good and the iPhone is very noisy, look at the bar on the fence.

The lighthouse, I prefer the iPhone, you can see the details separating the ice from water on the lake. Pixel is 2nd, I think the reflection of the lighthouse on the water is great, but the water/ice isn't as clear. The OnePlus is clearly behind the others, very noisy.

In my opinion the OP13 is behind the iPhone and Pixel, which is in line with what I expected. I'm not going to be shooting scumbag zoom photos all that often, so as an overall camera I'd be very happy with the OP13. It took great photos of my dog and other zoomed in objects around my desk. Curious to see any other comparisons you all may have.

OnePlus 13R review, seems a decent handset, probably a stronger handset than last year’s 12R:

Looks really nice as well. I wish the Oppo Find X8 (fares well against the 13R) and X8 Pro had all of the necessary bands for the U.S. Would love to try one.

Do people really use phone cameras like this? I'm genuinely curious. This is the most useless comparison for me. Digital zoom is digital, all photos are trash, the only question is which one is the least trash of them all?

Certainly not the case, alot of phones these days with great hardware can produce some great shots at 20x. best way to compare the best phones is with different zoom ranges. Thats been the biggest improvements in recent years great zoom shots.

Never saw a digital zoom photo that I liked. And I check out all flagship phone camera reviews. The detail is completely artificial. These sensors and lenses are physically incapable to capture those details. I guess it's fine documenting stuff but worthless for aesthetic purposes.

I never claimed it was a useful comparison 😂 just some samples I took at 20x zoom without adjusting anything. I take zoomed in photos all the time, not 20x or even 10x for that matter. The camera is getting rave reviews from what I've read. In my own use it has been fantastic.

Not bashing OP13. I'm selling my Pixel and keeping it. It's an incredible phone.

In a couple of comparison videos the OP looks good but they seem to be a bit overexposed, even more than Samsung typically does.

If One Plus and Vivo are owned by the same company, why don't we get the really high end camera systems here in the USA?
This is my question too. I really love the look of the Vivo devices but you can't get them in the UK. You can get OnePlus, which is (so I'm told) similar company yet it's not got the same camera system that is so highly praised in the Vivo.

Make it make sense!?

That seems an odd thing being as we seem to get nearly every other Chinese brand over here in the UK that I can think of.

Another OnePlus 13 review. I have to admit at least with the samples presented in the video I think I prefer the OnePlus 12 camera examples in certain situations:
