^^

I guess I don't see what the big deal is if someone wants an invite and a fellow MacRumors member wants to be so kind to share one. Especially when we're in the "Alternative to iOS and iOS devices" thread.

If someone could be so kind to explain, I'd welcome that. Thank you.

EDIT: Just looked over the rules for this thread and nowhere does it mention that we can't share invites.

I think they mean for buying/selling to go to the MarketPlace forum.....could be wrong....

Buying/selling/giving away items is handled in the marketplace, not in the open forums.

All threads offering items for sale or trade or for free or asking to buy or receive items must be posted in the Marketplace forum and are subject to these rules. Members not eligible for the Marketplace forum may not start threads for such purposes elsewhere in the forums

Additionally if the invites were permitted, this thread would turn into one long begging thread. Its happened before where people sign up, just to ask for an invite. I think its better to keep the discussion on the OnePlus One and not on every Tom, Dick, or Harry asking for a spare invite.

Thank you!!! so generous!

Why dont you just go sign up at their website. Geezz, i hate to see people begging all the time. Its a phone bro, it isnt some exclusive device that only the rich people can afford. It will be outdated in a few months anyways.

Does this phone come with the option in settings for “2G only“?

I use that where I live due to poor reception and when I'm in the city I change to 4G.

It seems like most phones nowadays don't have the 2G only option anymore, and instead have automatic 2G/3G, etc.

It's a BELOW average phone, to boot. Not even worth talking about, cheap "me too" hyped up junk.

All the reviews for it seems to be good. The only downside is the stupid invite system.

And the yellow screen defect along the bottom, mixed bag with customer service if you have problems

I really want to like this phone, I'm dumbfounded by some of the choices they have made on the business side.. The #neversettle campaign feels pretty ironic

I don't know, I didn't get mine yet. I hope it doesn't have the yellow screen defect had that issue with my LG OG. I just know people who has the phone loves it, that could also be because it's so hard to get and it sways their judgments. I already settled and got a Nexus 5 and was tired of waiting for it, but it only took me 6 mins to change my mind. :D

Can't the yellow screen issue by address by calibrating the software? I've done that plenty of times with my Android devices. Heck, my N5 whites looked yellow before I calibrated, now they are white with another display profile.

Didn't read through the thread so I'm sorry if this has already been discussed.

I have two invites if anyone wants them. PM me. I'm giving them away not selling or anything.

Are these both suppose to be OnePlusOne's? I've never read about a dull yellow screen on the OPO forums. I just have the yellow banding on the bottom. Nothing that extreme.

Both are OnePlus One's.

There's two yellow "issues" going on.

1) Yellow band at the bottom. Some say this is due to glue not fully dried/cured. UV light solves problem. Sometimes.

2) Yellow hue across entire screen. OnePlus says they did this on purpose, later giving users the ability to change the color of the screen using hue, saturation, contrast, etc.

The problem is that there shouldn't be that drastic of a difference between two devices that have the same color settings & brightness.

You probably haven't seen it on their forums because they delete threads about it because they call it a feature. Yes, according to them you're supposed to have a yellow screen and never settle.

Oh, and also, they claim photos have been photoshopped/altered.

I received mine. I don't like it particularly aesthetically. It feels too big for me, it feels strangely bigger than the Lumia 1520 and I don't know why ?

Screen is perfect however, no yellowing what so ever on mine. Even towards the bottom it's completely even brightness and no yellow

Smh. I can't believe I want this phone now. Hoping to get an invite soon.

I'm pm'ing you now :)
