Looking forward to receiving my invite and trying out the OnePlus. hopefully sometime before the iPhone 6 launch takes place.
The reviews are looking good so far despite the customer service issues and some quality control lacking. Hopefully these issues can be resolved shortly.

I received mine. I don't like it particularly aesthetically. It feels too big for me, it feels strangely bigger than the Lumia 1520 and I don't know why ?

Screen is perfect however, no yellowing what so ever on mine. Even towards the bottom it's completely even brightness and no yellow

I'm pm'ing you now :)

MRU, you didn't like the phone? What's your current device, the M8?

I have an M8 and Gold S5 and Lumia 1020 .... Thinking of selling it and going to buy the Lumia 930 .... 2 android phones is enough (let alone 3).

Not that I didn't like it - it's blazing fast - got a perfect screen and everything - but i find it staggeringly tall ....

Between the S5 and M8, which would you recommend?

Sorry for the questions but I'm still trying to decide which device to get and all the opinions I can get would help. Thank you for taking the time.

I'm also waiting my turn to get an invite from OPO.

I think overall the M8 is the better phone, and for everyday usage. The UI, the memory management and such - nothing ever bogs it down.

The S5 has better camera and syncs with my Gear Fit - but sometimes the stutters and random bouts of unresponsiveness do get on my nerves.

As for the last part - check your messages matey ;)

Last question, I promise;).. Do you recommend the N5 over the M8?

Never had the N5 so I honestly can't answer that one.

The 1+1 is really svelte, just big. It was the inevitable reason the Note 3 and the 1520 were not for me. But that bigness is a selling point to other people, but for me I find it too much.

Sadly I think I can't buy the phone through the invite system since someone near me told me they don't ship here due to customs.

If you're thinking of selling it and the screen is perfect I might be interested. Whenever you're going to sell it send me a PM if you want.

Besides that, what more can you tell us of your thoughts about it? How's the GPS and cell reception for example?

You like CM?

Actually someone on our google hangouts group has already claimed dibs if I sell. :(

Cyanogen Mod basically addresses the missing features of stock google android and it does a great job of doing so. Indeed i would hope Google would learn to implement its many features.

Call reception - is good - I live in a touchy dead spot area and vodafone are crap - but the phone managed to get a good 3G signal - I don't get LTE here. Call quality was fine - much of a muchness to any of the 2014 phones I've had this year to be honest.

GPS. Don't use it - i just use mobile & wifi for location as it saves battery.

They have created an excellent phone for the price ....... undoubtably - but I find it strange they opted for Phablet rather than 5" size and keep its dimensions a little tighter - i think it would have more appeal.

It's verified to me that phablet sized phones after Note 3 / Lumia 1520 and the OnePlus One are really not for me and 5" is a bout the top end for me.

Between the two I would go with the S5. I've tried both and didn't like the M8. Screen is better on the S5, better camera, 4K video recording, etc.

Although in performance the M8 is better.

I actually find the outdoor visibility of the M8 screen better - but not by a big margin.

To me I think its the performance thing - you use your camera 5-10% of the time - but performance of your handset is overriding and effects you 100% of the time no matter what you are doing, and thats where the S5 / M8 difference is more appreciable than anything else.

The S5 isn't a slouch, but those little hiccups and the memory management are annoying.

Neither is perfect to be honest, and if you can handle the size of the 1+1 it certainly stands head and shoulders with them .....

Yeah, the disappointing performance of the SGS5 is one of the reasons why I didn't even consider that phone to replace my SGS3.

I liked the M8 on paper, but when I tried it on the store I just didn't feel any "excitement". Don't really know why, but I didn't felt anything towards that phone.

But I agree 100% that the performance of the SGS5 is not on par with the rest of the flagships. To me it's because of TouchWiz.

After 2 years with the SGS3 I didn't want another Samsung phone, especially considering I dislike the build quality of the SGS5.

I use the camera a lot, mainly for video recording, so that's an important point for me.

Also, I don't like AMOLED screens. I'm am IPS guy, but the Super LCD screen of the M8 didn't wow me like the one in the Nexus 5, LG G2, etc.

Still, between the two, I would go with the SGS5, just because of my brief experience on the store with the M8, where I wasn't impressed.

Sorry for the off-topic guys.

Anyone know if the phone can be purchased with PayPal? I just don't feel comfortable using my debit info.. I know it's silly but I just dont get the same protection I would if I'd use PayPal instead.

Standard shipping as in USPS?

It didn't say (Or at least I don't remember). It only said standard shipping, but most people are getting their device in 2-3 business days.

FYI: If you need a case, these are coming out in a few days:

https://tpu-cases.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=104_105

It seems like all the accessories are only shipping from China (Amazon/eBay, etc) - but those cases are shipping from US, so you'll get it much quicker. A lot of people on XDA/OnePlus One forums seem to be waiting for those to become available.

I don't know, I didn't get mine yet. I hope it doesn't have the yellow screen defect had that issue with my LG OG. I just know people who has the phone loves it, that could also be because it's so hard to get and it sways their judgments. I already settled and got a Nexus 5 and was tired of waiting for it, but it only took me 6 mins to change my mind. :D
And if it does, how is their service for replacements? Anyone hear of any experiences yet?

Terrible. There's no knowing what you're going to get. Possibly get a worse device than the one you sent in. And you have to pay shipping to get it there, and the new one back.
