Are you going to take part in "Operation Chokehold"

I think most of you are missing the BIG picture with operation chokehold. Just because it was impossible to even try to bring down the network, the mere fact that enough people were/are upset about AT&T's horrible network, enough so to try and bring it down is going to negatively affect AT&T overall. I mean my God, this wasn't a couple hundred people pissed off on facebook, this was an actual story that was on the front page of Yahoo and even the FCC got involved. It's pretty big and even though it didn't work, although there are some claims it may have crashed some of its network, it's putting a huge light on AT&T in a negative way. I believe this is what everyone wanted, to be a loud enough voice to finally get AT&T to do something. This is only speculation of course but reports could come out showing AT&T not building infrastructure putting AT&T into a more negative spotlight. Eventually something is going to happen but if the FCC got involved and Operation Chokehold actually becoming news is more than what anyone of those participants could have asked for.

Thank you dumb ass for encoogaing att limits on the data. God I hope att presses charges against fsj for his ddos attack and I will laugh my ass off.

Are the iPhone babies really that stupid not to think that att will not just use this a proof the limits need to go in place. Dumb asses

My goodness you come off sounding like a very bitter person.

Glad to see this worked....Kind of funny that so many people wasted their time with this. I guess organizing to attempt the impossible and stupid is more important than organizing and doing something productive.

On the bright, side, at least it got AT&T's attention,

Yeah, it keenly enforced to AT&T the stereotype that iPhone users are a bunch of trolling primadonnas who suck up the majority of the bandwith for no good reason at all, merely because they can. And yet as they suck up the majority of the bandwith, they belly ache about how the network is so horrible that they can't hog enough of the bandwidth they feel entitled to.

Yeah, TONS of progress was made there.

Operation Chokehold = consumer terrorism.

What's next? Flooding hospital emergency rooms with fake injuries because you're pissed off at the health care system?

You sir are a GENIUS
make sure the news knows we're all iphone owners too. We can become our own terrorist cell

You pay $30 for a unlimited data, keyword is unlimited, so I should be able to use as much as I want, when I want, for whatever reason I want.

Seriously? Stuff like this is why AT&T wants to limit data in the first place. And lets not forget that this won't hurt AT&T one bit, it will just hurt anyone that legitimately might need to use their phone during that time.

AT&T fears it will hurt them because of the ones that may know nothing about this and have their handsets going out and getting negative feedback from the people and potentially even losing some customer base. (IMO)

AT&T already has enough complaints about their network, they know that it's specially an issue in places like SF and NYC and still people stay with them because of the iPhone. How is that hurting them? Complaints don't hurt them, bad feedback doesn't hurt them, the only thing that would hurt them is people leaving for other networks, which you people don't do. It's like complaining about the food in a restaurant but going back every day.

It also hurts them with respect to Apple. Apple is obviously going to take all this into account when the exclusivity contract ends. Either Apple will use it to get a better deal, or they'll just dump AT&T exclusivity.

And you used it unlimitedly to try to bring a network down, to prove a point. Only, you failed in both bringing the network down and proving the point.

Thank you for proving my point, and once again reinforcing the stereotype.

Also check the poll, a great majority thought what I thought, it was the most childish thing ever.

Yes, it was childish. That doesn't mean lots of people did it. In San Francisco, you can't get a signal 9/10ths of the time. AT&T admits that its network sucks out here. The fact that it didn't get any worse during this "event" doesn't mean AT&T has a good network.
