Great... My wife is driving from Atlanta to Chattanooga today. The weather is terrible, storms...etc. And now I have a bunch of idiots about to potentially screw up the network. Just fantastic. Friggin babies...
I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

So you're going to protest limited bandwidth by limiting other people's bandwidth needlessly. That's about as genius as wearing tea bags to protest taxes, except wearing tea bags doesn't mess up the days of other people.
After browsing the posts here its quite clear that many of us dont quite understand the purpose of Operation Chokehold.

Operation Chokefold is not going to affect anything. There's probably a problem with a tower.
Do you feel protesting in general is stupid?

The issue here isn't that you're protesting or even what you're protesting about: it's how you're doing it.
After browsing the posts here it’s quite clear that many of us don’t quite understand the purpose of Operation Chokehold.
AT&T CEO Ralph de la Vega “reportedly told attendees at a communications conference in New York that the network was planning to introduce a tiered pricing model to charge heavy data users. Forty percent of AT&T’s 3G bandwidth is consumed by 3 percent of Smartphone users..."

Given the amount of applications downloaded from the app store, we can assume that iPhone users are among the 3 percent stated above.
Plain and simple, Ralph de la Vega wants you to change the way you use your iPhone. The purpose of Operation Chokehold is to show AT&T that we as iPhone users don’t want to be any more restricted than we already are. True, Operation Chokehold may not “bring AT&T to their knees”, but they will see irregular data usage… and that’s enough to prove a point.
So, between 12 and 1 PM PST today I’ll be listening to Pandora over 3G.
Here is a thought that many of the people doing operation coke hold
I've been off these forums for a while... however, I will voice this loud and clear. I think it's the most childish thing ever.
All you will accomplish is nothing but give AT&T more reason to tier you. If your service with AT&T sucks because of your area, then why the hell did you buy an iPhone? Plain and simple, there are many other options out there.
I for one love the iPhone and AT&T's service. They have been spot on and never missed a beat with my service since Day 1 with the 1st Gen iPhone. Even with the 3GS I now own, everything is way better.
-At&t knows the reasoning behind Operation Chokepoint, which is that iPhone users don't want data limitations.
Seems to be having some effect . . .

Operation Chokehold Brings Down (some of) ATT's Data Network
Remember Operation Chokehold? That plan by Fake Steve Jobs to overload AT&T's data network. Customers in some cities -- Salt Lake City (UT) and Dallas (TX) in particular -- are reporting that both 3G and EDGE have been brought down. How is your AT&T data connection?
