the 16 3G wasn't expected until may 20th/21st and even then the lady wasn't too sure.
That's good news. My May 9th order is marked as "Prepared for Shipment" in the order status, as of this morning. My card was charged two days ago. I hope to get an email like yours soon.
my may 11th order is still not shipped yet. they put a pending charge on my credit card, which caused discover to freeze my card for whatever reason... but no official charge yet. it's good to see the may 9th orders shipping though... should only be a couple days more for mine.
Any 32GB 3G models ordered on May 9 shipped yet? Mine is still at the "Not yet shipped" stage...
I ordered a 32GB 3G May 9th around noon, still says "Not Yet Shipped" but apple has charged my card for it, so it should be shipping tomorrow or Tuesday latest, hopefully
I ordered a 16GB iPad (WiFi) on May 9th, and mine shipped yesterday (although since the shipping status page was down yesterday, I found out this morning. It says that it will be delivered by Thursday at 4:30, but a few people told me that they received their iPads sooner than the estimated delivery date. Let's hope that's true, as I'm dying of waiting!
I had ordered a MBP that had a Thursday delivery estimate on the FedEx's tracking and it came Monday (I'm in FL also--panhandle though), so maybe yours will come tomorrow or Tues.
My iPad 32gb 3G that I ordered on the 10th has been charged to my card-yahoo! Hoping that means it'll ship tomorrow or Tuesday.
Did your MBP come from Shenzhen, China originally? I believe the regular shipping path for iPads has been China to Hong Kong to Alaska, and then to a mainland distributing facility. Someone told me that FedEx doesn't deliver on Monday sometimes, although we'll see what happens. Tuesday was the original earliest date Apple said it would be delivered when I first placed my order, so if it comes Tuesday or Wednesday, Apple estimated well. Even though I've only waited 7 days so far, it feels like forever!
I also ordered a screen protector on 5/9 from eBay that's coming from California (it shipped on 5/11 by USPS), so that should almost certainly come tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest.

Everyone knows, through their basic marketing, that Best Buy sells Apple products. But I didn't realize until TODAY that MacMall sells iPads!!!

I would have bought one "locally" (it's a 40 minute drive) TWO WEEKS AGO!
People are running all around SoCal for an iPad (Best Buy and Apple stores) and MacMall has a stock of them in local stores (that they don't advertise!!!)! I never realized until TODAY that they have two brick and mortar stores (not just internet sales) local to me!!!
Grrr!

I just got the email that mine has shipped, saying it should arrive by the 19th. FedEx tracking, however, says by the 21st. Either way, I know for sure it's coming..... woohoo!

I don't get what the hell is going on at Macmall.
So you're saying the local Macmall stores near you have them in stock.
I (ordered April 28th) along with others ordered the 3g ipad from Macmall and to this very date, we're still getting the run-around as far as when Apple will be shipping the ipads to them.
So, the brick & mortar macmalls have them but, the online macmall does not have any and have no idea when they'll be getting them.
I ordered my 32 gig 3G model from the Apple Store on the evening of 5/8. I got the message early this morning that it's shipping today.

I ordered my 32gb 3g on May 6. It was shipped from China on Friday and is on the truck for delivery in south Texas today.(Monday). Pretty impressive.

Same, here just got an emailing saying mine was shipping, expected by May 21, but previous experience tells me it will prob be wednesday or thursday!

I ordered mine late in the day last Monday and I just looked and it is "prepared for shipment" today (Monday morning). I guess that is technically 5, maybe 6 working days?
