I don't get the date situation either. You'd think if it didn't make it on the 21st (my original one) it would then be pushed to the 24th as that is Monday, not to Tuesday the 25th!

Mine is the 25th too. I hope it is just a built in buffer for customs... and that it will jump ahead if customs goes smoothly.
Mine is still just hanging out in Hong Kong. It's not even "in transit". It has been "at fed ex facility" for three days now. But my delivery date still says the 20th.

Today is May 18th. Haven't had any updates from Fedex since the 16th. Estimated delivery date is May 20th.

mine is stuck in HK as well....though not as long as yours.... looks like they are bundling shipments. where do you guys live??? I am in New Orleans, i have a scheduled delivery date for May 21....hasnt changed since shipment...

What's the difference between "In Transit" in Alaska and "Departed FedEx Location" in Alaska? I thought that the fact that it was "In Transit" after having arrived there and being released means that it DID depart... Sigh... Obviously if it JUST left Alaska about an hour ago (the times are EST), then I have zero chance of getting it today. If I don't get it tomorrow then I won't have a lot of time to use it for at least a few days

The estimated delivery is still 5/20... at least 5-8 people on two different forums who ordered the day before, or on the same day as I did received their iPad 1-3 days before FedEx said they would, given the same estimation as me.

Wow...that sucks....a whole day sitting around.
It looks like all the shipments have to go through Alaska to clear customs, so that could be what is holding up the other shipments in HK.....
No but that's the thing, it was already released (cleared by customs) in Alaska over a day ago...
lol... I really want to know why that happened though. If it was ALREADY RELEASED, then why did it sit around for over 24 hours? What about back when it was in Hong Kong? It sat there for a period of almost 24 hours as well! I'm not happy with FedEx right now.. If they can somehow get it to me by tomorrow, I'll forgive them, but otherwise they wasted time.
I'll keep you guys posted as to what happens between now and probably around 10-midnight when I go to sleep. Honestly though, FedEx sure as hell better be moving my iPad 24/7 between now and when they deliver it to me with the ~48 hours they have already wasted...
Weird, mine didn't get to visit Lantau.
I'm hoping it'll get on a flight to Memphis tonight then be delivered on Thursday. I can't imagine it not being delivered until Tuesday like they are saying!
No, look at mine. "In Transit" in Anchorage doesn't actually mean it departed apparently, so you will have to wait until it actually departs Anchorage to be on a flight to Memphis.
Crazy how mine left China before you, but i'm still stuck in HK...... crazy!

Yeah it still need the international shipment release, but that usually happens within a few hours of getting there. Even if it gets on a flight in the AM to Memphis based on other things I've had come from MEM to me it would be here Thursday...or Friday at the absolute latest. (Now watch me jinx myself and it sits in ANC forever lol)
Interesting thing is my neighbor's was picked up by FedEx about 30 min before mine but is still in Schenzen! Just says it arrived at the FedEx location. She ordered about 15 min after I did, would be crazy if ours got here on different days.
Well the reason stuff from Asia arrives in Alaska for customs is because about 90% of the developed world in the nothern hemisphere can be reached from Alaska within ~10 hours. FedEx better double-time my iPad to my house; I don't know how much longer I can wait... Alaska to Memphis should take around 7 hours which means mine should arrive in Memphis by 1AM tomorrow morning.
