Ordered May 9....still "Not Yet Shipped" status

Did your MBP come from Shenzhen, China originally? I believe the regular shipping path for iPads has been China to Hong Kong to Alaska, and then to a mainland distributing facility. Someone told me that FedEx doesn't deliver on Monday sometimes, although we'll see what happens. Tuesday was the original earliest date Apple said it would be delivered when I first placed my order, so if it comes Tuesday or Wednesday, Apple estimated well. Even though I've only waited 7 days so far, it feels like forever!

I also ordered a screen protector on 5/9 from eBay that's coming from California (it shipped on 5/11 by USPS), so that should almost certainly come tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest.

The MBP went from Shnghai-Anchorage-Memphis then by truck to me in Pensacola. It had a casing issue and they said it was DOA, so my replacement is in transit now--again with a delivery on a Thursday, and it has been sitting in Shanghai since the 14th with expedited shipping (and normal on the original order). Go figure!

My iPad is still waiting to ship (ordered the 10th)...hope to see an update soon!

As of 1:38 PM EST, my iPad arrived in Anchorage, Alaska. How many days did it take to get to Pensacola from Alaska?

I mis-spoke earlier, it was from Shanghai not Shenzen! My MBP was in ANC on the 8th and delivered on the 10th. Your iPad and my replacement MBP were on the same flight--it got into ANC the same time.

So does that mean Wednesday is more likely for my iPad to be delivered?

I just got an email that it shipped (but it isn't in the FedEx system yet). That took about four hours to go from prepared to shipped! Good luck!

Now I wonder how long it will take from shipped to get into my fat grubby little hands.

Hard to say. Mine barely made it for the truck Monday morning. I guess it depends on how they get it from Memphis (assuming yours will be going there as well) to Miami--it is a bit more of a haul then to P'Cola. Hope it comes soon for you!

Got the same notice...and not in FedEx's system yet either. Hope it comes soon!!! I already know my husband is going to give me crap about tracking it constantly.

Yeah that's true. I was wrong with the timing though, as my iPad has been in Anchorage since 8:30 AM (EST) today, and it was marked as "In Transit" at 1:30 PM (EST). That probably means later tonight it will be in Memphis (or some other distributing facility), for delivery tomorrow in the late afternoon.
 
I ordered my 64GB 3G model on the 9th too. Its status hasn't been changed to prepared to ship yet. Hoping that happens soon.

Just checked my tracking. Instead of being delivered on the 21st it is now the 25th!!! It missed the cutoff tonight and it pushed it back that far! So much for it being delivered the 18-22 like it said when I ordered :(
 
Mine's been prepared for shipment since about 4pm EDT yesterday, but still no tracking number. I hope it ships within the next couple of hours so I can have it this week!

I don't know... see my post and another's above. Ours shipped Monday (or Tuesday if you are in China I guess) and FedEx says it won't be delivered until NEXT Monday (a full week!).

Wait how do you tell if that happened??? Mine left Alaska at 5:30 PM yesterday, and it hasn't changed status yet...
 
I placed my order on May 7th. It went to "prepared for shipping" on the 14th and then shipped on the 16th. It made it to Hong Kong and has been sitting there ever since (over 48hrs). MorganK, I'm in Navarre so it should take the same route yours did. I hope it makes it here by Thursday as scheduled.
 
In transit now...still with a delivery date of next Tuesday. I really hope that is wrong. My 1st MBP was due on a Thurs and came on Monday. The replacement was due in on Wednesday and is coming today (Tues). So maybe, just maybe, the iPad will be here before the weekend. Not holding my breath though.

I'm also tracking my friend's. I ordered the same one about 15 min before hers. Shipped about 30 min apart but are now separated--mine is in transit and hers is still at the FedEx facility. Would be crazy if they got here different days.

I should just stop worrying about it--it will get here eventually and it will be awesome!

Mine hasn't left China (well, it says it is in transit now...so maybe it has now). On the FedEx site it says Estimated delivery May 25, 2010 by 4:30 PM, whereas earlier last night it was saying it was May 21st.

Mine initially said it would be delivered on the 22nd, it now says the 25th. My "delivery window" that they quoted when I placed the order said the 18th-24th.

Oh alright, sorry to hear that! Mine still says estimated delivery on 5/20, although I am very busy all of Thursday, Friday, and the weekend, so I REALLY hope I get it today or tomorrow :/ Something interesting I noticed is that you might be able to figure out where it's in transit to by switching the time zone to destination, and then to your own time zone in "other". If i switch the time zone to GMT-5 (my time zone), it says it left Alaska at 5:30 PM. If I then switch it to "destination time zone", it says it left Alaska at 6:30 PM. The only issue is, there aren't any time zones "later" than GMT-5 in the mainland US... The further west you go, it gets earlier!
 
Damn, still no movement of my iPad from the "In Transit from Anchorage" status... Usually they update the tracking way after it arrives somewhere, but there's no way I'll be getting it today. I'll have to see what happens next update to find out if there's a chance of getting it tomorrow. I better get the screen protector I ordered off eBay today through USPS though, as it was SUPPOSED to come 5/17 at the LATEST and it's 5/18 today...
 
Yeah, I am really bummed. Mine was pushed back to May 25th as well. When I first got my tracking number yesterday it said Estimated Delivery was 5/21, later in the day it moved up to 5/20, and this morning its now 5/25. I dont understand why it moved back so much. I really need to stop looking and just let it get here when it gets here, because im driving myself crazy.
