Orders are starting to ship out and are on the way!!

Looking at my ups account I have a shipment on the way now. Not sure if it’s the keyboard case or the iPad...it says it’s 1.5kgs which is around 3.3 lbs. Seems too heavy for the keyboard case and too light for the iPad. Both orders are saying preparing to ship on Apple right now.


Btw the iPads will not be delivered before the 7th. Carriers are under orders to hold them until the 7th even if they get to the US early.

Uk orders of the 11” 256gb Wi-fi are already quoting 12-15 November.

Now much later for all 12.9 models apart from 64 gb!

Apple is still saying preparing for shipment for both of our orders....for iPad and keyboard case (wife and I did two orders each).

UPS has two tracking numbers for each of us. The first one must be the iPads at 1.5 kgs because the second tracking number for each of us is for 1 kg each.

The first number (1.5kgs) shows arrival in Hong Kong while the second number (1kg) just shows shipping label made for both of us.

It should be any time today that a lot of us will start to get emails and status updates telling us that our orders have shipped!

So now I think it’s safe to say that our iPads (12.9”) shipping weight is 1.5kg. Keyboard folio is 1 kg and pencils are .3 kg. So that’s how we can tell which shipments are for each of these devices by just looking at UPS.

Apple is still saying preparing for shipment for everything right now.

Mine is still processing, don’t want it to come early as I’ve arranged for someone to be at home for delivery (07/11).
Really looking forward to it, going to pass my my iPad Air 2 on to my daughter.

iPads are from Shenzhen China. Don’t know yet on the keyboard folios. Pencils are from northern China in Nanjing.

I’ll be curious to see how this goes where I live, as I’m in a small town with delivery to a UPS store (I’m rural enough that we can’t get mail delivery at the house). I don’t see the local PO holding anything back, LOL, but maybe they’ll hold stuff in CA?

I’d like it early, but I really just care that it’s not late.

My iPad, keyboard folio, and Pencil 2 are all still preparing to ship, and I got a fraud prevention call from my bank today regarding all the large amounts of money I just paid for this stuff. After I verified everything it said, "Thank you, we will now process these payments as requested." I've heard some peoples' keyboards and pencils already shipped, so I wonder if mine were held up until I confirmed those payments.

I'd love to get my keyboard early. I really want to see what that thing is all about. I wish they had gone into more detail about it during the keynote. I'm curious to know what the outside of it looks/feels like as I wasn't super thrilled with the first gen.

We now have origin scans for our keyboards. They are currently in Shenzen as well. iPads arrived in Hong Kong several hours ago and my wife's pencil has departed Nanjing.

According to Apple everything is still at the preparing to ship stage right now.

Mine is, you should sign up for UPS My Choice, it is free and very useful for all packages, not just from Apple. You will be in system soon if launch day delivery.

Yes, my choice is based on your address, so it won't pick up on any other address. Can always try track by reference.

For it to show up in myUPS it has to have the address on file. I don't know if you can add multiple addresses...can always try it out. As far as finding by reference...I've never had any luck with UPS. FedEx seems to be better about finding shipments that way. Use your phone number for the reference number. Can also try your order number....it should work I believe.

i just dont think its been picked up yet. nothing by refrence number or order number.

UPS MyChoice is fantastic. Unfortunately it’s not available to me, as my mailing address is a UPS store. Go figure. ‍♀️

Apple showing my 12.9 to arrive on Monday, but I am sure that is a mistake. Will be held until Wednesday.

I was able to retrieve my tracking number through UPS My Choice, but you can also look it up now by your 10 digit phone number!!! iPad is on the way! Waiting for my Folio case and pencil to ship though...

That is normal. Apple usually doesn't update until it makes it to the US.
