Oh don't get me wrong, I went from a 7+ to the X and I do find the screen just a teeny bit on the small side. But functionally, the X does everything I need it to. So I decided to wait until next year to upgrade (or for as long as I can hold out)

Mine says "Destination Scan" since 7am and I just called UPS and they said that means it's on the truck for delivery and should be at your house by 7pm EST.
Kinda wanted to stop by an Apple store to buy it right now but I don't think my credit card can take another hit.
Mine are “loaded on delivery vehicle.” So excited! They’ll likely arrive at my UPS store around 11:30 and I’ll have them by lunchtime.

Edit: Well, I have a sickness. I’m in NH for work this week (I live in Iowa) and won’t be home until tomorrow afternoon. It was killing me knowing that my iPad and stuff would just be sitting in my office at home, waiting there for me to get home tomorrow night. So, checking loca stock, I find the 11”, the keyboard, and pencil all in stock at the Apple store in Manchester. Long story short, I’m hoping Apple’s return policy is pretty straight forward because I now own 2 of everything - need to return my original shipment! Ugh.....

UPS is now out for delivery for me as well. Just got the texts for live tracking....so I can sit here in disbelief again like last year with my iPhone delivery as the driver spends five hours within 2 miles of my house driving by it who knows how many times before finally dropping off my order. lol
So I am one pissed customer right now: Preordered the 11inch ipad with pencil and keyboard, and the UPS guy just came and delivered me the keyboard and pencil. I looked at the tracking and the ipad is located at the UPS warehouse and didn't go out for delivery. I am pissed since I live in a rural area and its not like I can just go drive and pick it up.
Woot! 12.9 Pro, pencil and keyboard picked up!
Just got delivered! He said we were scheduled to be the last stop of the day but since he had to drive right by our house he decided to make us the first.
Side note....I asked about the possible strike. He said he doesn’t think it will happen but if it does then all of these deliveries will be affected. Everything like these Apple orders. Take that for what you will...but didn’t sound good if it happens. But he did say he doesn’t think the strike will happen.

I ordered mine a few days ago and I was quoted between 23 Nov - 30 Nov by Standard Delivery. Today I noticed they had them in store for immediate collection so I cancelled my order and popped down and bought one. Well impressed with it. It's lighter that I imagined all things considering. The missus gets my 9.7inch iPad Pro That's more than she usually gets

You got really lucky with that. I watched the truck go up and down the Main Street, passing me at least 6 times making me the last delivery of the day. This was for my phones. It was so annoying.
Same situation. Ordered everything twice and need to return, but it is super easy
I guess it was my turn to be the unlucky one. My keyboard shows "Cleared Customs" at midnight last night but no movement since then. My iPad shows that it's ready for pickup but I went to get it and they said that they're running behind and it hasn't been sorted yet and to come back around noon. It looks like I'll get my ipad if I'm lucky and no keyboard.

Coming from a three year old iPad Pro I’m pretty impressed so far. It’s still downloading apps and music so things are maybe a bit jittery: I’ve had the settings app freezes a couple of times. A couple of other issues:

- I’m a bit disappointed that face ID doesn’t just unlock the iPad, rather than having to swipe up from the bottom, which is a bit awkward when you’re lying down with it.
- How on earth do I get rid of the thin black line at the bottom of the screen? I guess it’s there so that people know to swipe up, but I find it irritating.
Yeah, give me year around Eastern Standard Time and I will be a happy camper. I hate DST. I like it light in the mornings. I start my day early. The poor kiddies used to have to wait in complete darkness at 6am for the bus to school while on DST. Six confirmed deaths of little kids due to DST in my state.

What does the face ID do then?
Face ID unlocks the iPad, then I get a message at the bottom of the screen with the obnoxious horizontal bar, that says “swipe up to open”. Is it just me?
That’s reassuring. I guess it’s so that you get to see notifications, but for me it’s just an extra step.
I thought I had not set it up right!
I can’t play with it at the moment, as every time I get it out of my bag, my niece want to draw!
Picked up my iPad Pro 11 256GB and Apple Pencil at 09:30AM, when I woke up at 7:00am ups had sent ready to pickup emails for both. All setup and loving too. Always pickup valuable items from UPS Customer service center, eliminate the driver and time of it riding around the city....
