On the bright side with my work VPN on my personal machine blown away. It will give me more time to focus on swift as I won't be tempted to do work. :D

- Airdrop works with iOS 7. From Mac to iOS 7 but not iOS 7 to Mac.

As smooth as butter on my Macbook Air mid 2013 (8gb, i7). Actually feels snappier than Mavericks.

Notification center is a lot more responsive than mavericks, making me want to use it more.

Sweet finds! Thanks!

Traffic lights in iBooks have white borders; every other app has a slightly darker border (like Safari for instance).

speaking of those colored traffic lights. does yosemite still have the option to use the less colorful grey ones as well as the greyish instead of the blue loading bar? i hope so ...

yes graphite is still there

I really hope iOS 9 or 10 starts to resemble the more refined and polished UI design of Yosemite.

It definitely looks like they're starting to get back on track with better improved and better looking software designs.

Cant wait!

Command space for spotlight

Hi does anyone know if you can still do command space to bring up spotlight, or of there is another easy shortcut? I really like doing that.

You can, just instead of it popping up from the menu bar, it appears in the center of the screen. You can change it in Yosemite (and prior OSes) by going to System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > Spotlight.

Of course you can, it's the default shortcut.

I actually use it ALL THE TIME as a substitute to launchpad, Yosemite just made it even more convenient.

I like most of the new Yosemite icons. A lot **lot** still needs to be updated over the next few developer previews, since basic things such as the hard drive icons refer strongly to the legacy aqua UI. Folders are way way too bright, and I'd be surprised if these remain the same come fall. I have a gut feeling that for this OS X release more than any other in recent past, a lot will change between DP1 and the GM builds. It sort of has to, much as iOS 7 saw a lot of fleshing out in developer previews.

One disappointment, though: They removed the "crazy ones" quote from the TextEdit icon. It's sort of like losing an old friend.

R.I.P.

Animations?

Does anyone know of any new animations with Yosemite? I really love all the animations in Apples Ecosystem.

Phone continuity.

Hi,
Did anyone tried to answer iPhone calls on OS X?
Continuity works fine for Web and Mail but I don't get calls on Mac.

Thanks.

Just installed the beta on an external drive without logging in to iCloud or anything.

Oh my god. Has nobody mentioned the Spotlight Search? Absolutely terrible. Big blank bar in the center of the screen? Really?

And how did it manage to find webpages right off the bat before I even opened Safari & I didn't log in to any of Apples systems?
