That's good What does it look like, is it solid white? Also, does it affect the drop-down menus? From the screenshots it looks like the drop down menus take on the same amount of translucency as the menu bar.

Don't believe it's in yet. I've looked all over and can't find it anywhere. Leads me to believe it isn't in the build yet.

I did. I don't remember any of those shown in the keynote. Only Mail, Safari, Reminders, FaceTime, Messages, and a few others.

I upgraded directly from Mavericks and this was one of the 1st things I noticed.

It wouldn't take me long either but it's the first thing I tried after hearing someone say it might be back to 10.8-behaviour. Happily it's not; it works the same as in mavericks.

Thoughts:

New UI is decidedly unattractive, although at least the icons are still okay. Just flat and simplified, but not to the point of being hideous like iOS.

New features are awesome.

Maybe 8 will be less hideous than 7...do think they heard us?? Maybe this 'no privacy' is a good thing.
