Coverflow in Finder is back.
Maybe that was iTunes where it was removed?
Coverflow in Finder is back.
No, it wasn't. Hint: look at the tags button on the toolbar, it's Mavericks for sure.
I'am still here.
Installing this right now.
Are you serious that there is no photo booth??
Yes, I guess it went to skeuomorphism jail.

So.... will Apple play fair & list the things they have REMOVED from the OS once Yosemite is available for public consumption?
They are big on telling you in breathless tones about what they've added with each new deployment but they really need to start including a list of what they have removed.
Features like 'open in new window' and coloured folder/file labels vanished in Mavericks without a word from Apple.
Users were left to discover the loss of these long-standing features by themselves.
As a long-term business user all this mention of "...seamless integration between Mac and iOS devices." sends shivers down my spine. It reeks of still more dumbing-down of the desktop OS to bring it in line with the iOS.
So c'mon Apple, let users make a fair choice about upgrading by telling them not just what you're adding but what you're taking away.
I'm disappointed, I for one enjoyed Photo Booth. It keeps me busy when Im bored taking ridiculous seflies xD
It's probably just gone temporarily like the voice memos app that was gone for a beta or two with iOS 7.
Can answer number 1 for you. Yes. Says so on apple.com
Well that sucks, I use the green button all of the time at work. With the loss of the green button 'best-fit' function, there's no auto window resizing now![]()
- boot screen is now the same as iOS: black background, white apple, thin loading bar
- login screen is your desktop picture blurred, instead of black background.
Requesting a few screenshots:
a) Finder - About the Finder (does it still say "the Macintosh Desktop Experience"?)
b) Applications and Utilities folder for full icon set
c) Dock magnification still there?
d) System Preferences > Spotlight
Thanks!
Hey that's me!
Those are great screenshots though - thanks for posting!
This install is an upgrade to 10.10 from 10.9.4: Gremlins may have carried over or hatched in the process, I'll do a fresh install later and re-check.
