Putting your cursor to the very left of the screen slides open the sidebar when Safari is fullscreen.

I think they mentioned this during one of the developer sessions. The sidebar is also supposed to go away when the window is too small. Lots of wee touches to make the split-view mode workable.

I like the new Selfies and Screenshots smart albums in Photos. The former simply collates all pics taken with the front camera (this can be done already with a smart album) and the second has all photos taken as iPhonePad screenshots.

It's a cool effect but - and this could simply be a typical "resistance to change" thing - I think I preferred it the old way. When I hide the calendars or mailboxes or whatever it's because I temporarily want more screen space for the rest of the app. I do what I need to, then redisplay the calendars etc.

Now, it simply removes them and makes the window smaller.
Good news! For me, anyway :) Minimising the calendars or mailbox pane now (DB3) doesn't result in the app window shrinking.

I must be blind, what's the problem here? The delay between the mouse and window as you move around? Have you seen this as an issue on non-retina display?

Yes, it occurs regardless of the display in use and has been present since Mavericks. Disabling BeamSync gets rid of it but at the cost of tearing.

You can now say a phrase to automatically start dictation. It's sort of like the "Hey, Siri" command on iPhone. You can also use this to launch Automator workflows.

This was present in beta 2 however it didn't work for me. Does it work now?

Can you select multiple photos and assign them a same location?
Yep! For individual photos you can move the pin on the map; for multiple photos you need to type in the location. It also keeps the original location so, same as when you apply edits, there's a "revert to original location" option.

That is brilliant! I assume you can then also set up a smart photo album showing you all the photos that have no location info added for seeing which ones need to have it added manually? (not looking forward to that....)

I don't see any way to create a smart album based on location info.

Works fine for me:

It's hard to tell on a video that's not 60 fps. But the delay does appear shorter, if it even exists. It definitely looks better than on my Macs running Mavericks, and I have the fastest 2013 iMac among those. Is it on DP3?

Here's a screen capture of my iMac running Mavericks: https://www.dropbox.com/s/emog1mg9020msq9/Sans titre.mov?dl=0
Don't play it on the browser as it is compressed. Download it a play it with quicktime.

It is 60 fps :) But if you prefer, here is the original file: http://d.pr/v/Bebg

I don't do recordings about UI speed with Quick Time, since recording itself slows down things.

It is definitely still there. If you play the video at 720p60 and set the speed to 0.25, it becomes visible.

Jeanlain: It has only been present since Mavericks (10.9).
