I didn't touch the security features except in System Preferences, actually. It's baffling how the same software can have such a different effect on different machines. Even in very basic ways, wi-fi, etc.

fwiw, even PS CS4 now actually works correctly!
For the first time in nearly a year, without the "relocated" message that raised its ugly head after minor OS updates.
Even disk reloads, clearing Java & manual downloads of the legacy 6 version did not resolve that under Mavericks.

Would help to know version & "conditions."
And whether you installed legacy Java. (though I think only PS kicks back hard without it).
btw: People whose "Clean My Mac" isn't working - consider it an enhancement.
Some of this stuff just isn't worthwhile. (personal opinion)

So Onyx was in the Not Working column, and now it's in the Working column after a brief stint in both. I'm guessing it's safe to use, eh?
there's no onyx for el capitan...yet. but the developer's always on top of these things, so should happen soon. i'd wait...you want an app like this to be fully compatible...
anyway, the latest version of onyx does not open in el capitan (i just tried it)...

I have v2.9.5 and it opens. I have only verified the volume structure though, afraid to do anything else so far.
odd, it shouldn't. there should be a compatibility warning. i have v3.0.0...and that one does give a warning when u try to open it (maybe because i'm on 10.11.1pb2??)..

I get emacs from homebrew, but it has been working exactly as well as in yosemite so far. Which is to say any issues I have are with poorly written elisp not emacs itself.

That could be it, I'm on the public release/Build 15A284. Definitely no warning though.
Added to not working.
Mbox 2 Mini. Even though Avid say they do not support Yosemite one of the older drivers did allow the Mbox 2 Mini to work, but it appears to be completely dead in El Capitan.
