Received my new 27" iMac tonight from Apple online after ordering the day it came out. Upgraded from a 24" 2.8 ghz iMac and will post more side by side photos later. I may even try and hook my PS3 up to the new iMac just to watch Blu-Ray on it.

27' imac???? that thing is huge? how'd you fit it through the door???? :p

I can't decide if my regret in buying a 17" MBP two days before the launch is only because I haven't received it yet, or because I really should have gone with the iMac and saved up (again) for a 13" :(

What company delivered it? I hope it wasn't UPS, they put a hole through everything I get. I hope FedEx delivers mine. They take good care of stuff.

The mouse pad I am using is a $20 plastic one from Circuit city and works great with the new mouse so far.

Question that maybe someone can help me with. I connected my PS3 to the iMac using a HDMI to DVI cable then a DVI to mini DVI adapter from Apple. How do I now get the picture to show up?

You can't. There isn't DVI input that enables you to playback HDMI content yet.

You need to buy an active converter (apparently $160-$180) that processes the HDMI output so that it can be shown by the monitor via the Mini DisplayPort. Your cable set up will only work to output video from the iMac to another monitor.

I am assuming you are talking about DVI->mini Displayport?
